The ULTIMATE must-have boot if you live in inclement weather, where it's impossible to look good during snow/sleet/freezing rain, complicated by road salt, mud, grease/grime/etc. This boot conquers, all the while looking FABULOUS! Web page photo doesn't capture it's edgy, classic looks. Looks RICH in person. And is THE most comfy footwear I've ever owned--right out of the box. I LIVE in mine, wearing 16-18 hours daily, with NO foot fatigue at the end of the day. Heel looks substantial/mid-high, but maintains the foot in a flat stance, rather than "pitched". My feet, legs, & back are supported w/ a natural, comfy stance all day long, and the all-leather construction allows my feet to breathe--Hallelujah! No more sweaty, swelling, stinky feet. Most other reviewers advise these run big. Not me. My regular size (10) fit my wide feet perfect. (Frye advises boots are supposed to allow ample toe wiggle room, & slip in the heel.) Slides on/off my feet effortlessly. Leather is thick & substantial, with a durable finish, water & dirt glide right off - I haven't even so much as wiped mine down with a damp cloth yet, but will do so EASILY if needed. Lug sole gets my feet up and away from direct contact with water & snow & keeps feet dry. This is an instant classic for so many good reasons! Worth every penny & more.

These boots are awesome; comfortable for walking around in (although they are heavy, so if you wear them all day, expect tired feet). I get lots of compliments and they go with everything. The rugged outsole makes for good traction. I want a pair of black boots, and I am trying a different style than these for some variety. I am on my third attempt at other Fryes; I have not found ones I like as much as these. If the next pair does not work out, I might have to settle and order a second pair of these. They are that good. I am normally a 6 or 6½ and I ordered these in 6 and the fit is perfect with both thick and thin socks.

I kept these boots for a couple of months because I just could not decide. I would wear them around my house (on the carpet) and although they are very comfortable, there was an area on my right foot arch area, near the beginning of my heel that would hurt after just a short time wearing these boots. I decided that I would return them and get another pair of the Harness boots! I love all Frye boots, I must say.

Love these boots. But caution: They are stiff at first and very loose (even ordering down a half size) - I got blisters on back of my heel the first two weeks before the leather softened up. Almost considered returning them, but decided to keep wearing them, and so glad that I did. Once I wore thick ankle socks, it lessened. Now they are soft and bendable but still need to wear the thick socks. I wear 9 1/2 and ordered a 9. Had a pair with all leather sole in the 70s and they lasted for many years. I don't recall ever having a problem with the sizing back then. Needed a plain black boot to wear at the train station (that would also complement my work uniform) to keep me warm in the eastern winters. These are beautiful, super warm, stylish, but plain enough to complement my daily uniform requirements as a commuter. I plan to purchase another pair in brown with all leather bottom next. Zappos delivery was unbelievably fast. Thank you! You won't be disappointing with this classic, beautiful, timeless and warm boot (with good traction for the snow).

These are beautiful shoes for a special occasion; I can't wait to wear them for my wedding! They have an excellent fit and were immediately comfortable. They're a great color and have unique styling.

These shoes are gorgeous and feel incredibly well-made -- supportive and comfortable for the style. I have the cobalt color and will be wearing them at my wedding! Very pretty shoe.
