I have a pair of old Marcelle's (back when Dansko was selling the Sanita patented handmade style). I wore them out and have had them re sewn twice. I also have the cherry red patent color under the Sanita name and am buying another pair in Bordo. I wear these shoes every day and they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever found. I have very high arches and these give the best support. I also live in a wet place and they keep my feet dry. They're better for walking than tennis shoes and much cuter!

I love these shoes and have them in all three cabrio colors. The Sanita quality is awesome, worth every penny. The Marcelle is a great shoe for days when I want to look a bit more professional at work (rather than wear my Sanita Graffitis or colored Professionals with crazy socks). I've gotten lots of compliments on the Marcelle from all ages of people, from kids to middle-age. Super-cute and, more importantly, super-comfortable for a whole day of work walking on a tile-on-concrete floor!

I just purchased my 4th pair of Marcelles, and probably my 20th pair of Danskos/Sanitas. I have gradually converted my entire shoe collection to Dansko/Sanita over the years, because let's face it, there just is no comparison to the comfort of a pair of these shoes! I have had many reconstructive surgeries on my feet, starting as a child, and it has taken years to find a pair of shoes that I can walk in all day and not only find that my feet are not tired or hurting, but are invigorated. I love my Danskos and Sanitas! I especially love my Marcelles. I bought my first pair in black when they were made only by Dansko, with the Sanita patent. Now Sanita alone holds the original Marcelle patent, so if you want the original Marcelle, switch to Sanita. I have all three: I still have my original Dansko Marcelle; I have a pair of the new Dansko Marcelles (in Claret Patent; I love them, they are my "Dorothy Shoes"); and I have a new pair of Sanita Marcelles. Honestly, I don't feel much of a difference, but I think the original Marcelle patent (now Sanita) is a bit more generously cut. I wear an orthotic inside it, so I like having some extra room. The Marcelle style is my favorite because the Mary Jane style gives it a more feminine look, while still providing all the comfort of the Dansko professional clog. I wear my Marcelles with dress slacks, jeans, or business suits. It's just such a versatile shoe. However, you have to remember it's still a clog. The one thing you really can't do in these shoes is run. Don't try it. You'll twist an ankle, fall, or worse. They are not shoes you want to wear on uneven ground, either. Keep that in mind and they will serve you well. Everyone always asks me where I find my cute Dansko/Sanita colors and styles, which you never see in the stores. I always tell them Zappos is the way to go!

Day one: I wasn\'t too sure about these when I first got them. They felt a little tight at the top of my foot (right above the toebox). But I decided to keep them and wore them around town that day... WOW. My feet and legs didn\'t hurt all day! \r\n\r\nDay two: I put the shoes on and noticed that the top of my foot felt bruised in the area where the shoe felt tight the day before. Hmmm... But, I decided to wear them again just to see what would happen. That bruised area was a little tender for about 5 minutes, but then I didn\'t feel anything and by the end of the day, my legs and feet weren\'t hurting (I should point out that for 3 weeks prior to the shoes\' arrival, I had been dealing with painful feet and aching legs).\r\n\r\nFast forward a week: the tender spot at the top of my foot is gone. Happy day!\r\n\r\nFast forward a month: these are by far my absolute most favorite shoes to wear! They are soooooo comfortable. They look great with pants AND skirts. I wear them to work and church.\r\n\r\nFinal thoughts: these shoes felt a little snug the first week I wore them (I wear mine with socks), but now they feel perfect. If you are a half-size, consider going up in size. I don\'t have wide feet, but I do have chubby feet and that\'s probably why the top of my foot hurt at first. They do not make my feet look huge nor, as my husband has said about other "mary jane" shoes I\'ve owned, like Smurfette\'s feet.

Great shoes! I have been a big fan of Dansko for a long time. Being a teacher, I'm on my feet all day. I have to say that I have pairs of Danskos that are more than 5 years old and still going strong. I liked the style of the Marcelle because it can go well with pants or skirts. Well made, comfortable and stylish.

I have wide feet and found the Dansko version of this shoe pinched my feet. The Sanita version has a little more of a rounded toe box and fits beautifully! The only bummer is that it doesn\'t come in the red color, which I love.

My wife decided to surprise me with a new pair of Marcelle's she got me and laid them out with my clothes before I got out of the shower. I am open to her suggestions and favored them over my loafers. At first glance they appear more feminine than what I would wear but after putting them on with my jeans they really looked good!. Better yet they were absolutely comfortable. That night at dinner, a woman next to our table complimented me on my shoes. I was slightly embarrassed about having a woman compliment me on my shoes being they were made for women and she could certainly notice the Mary Jane style of I was wearing. I'm glad I gave in to trying them out in public since for the most part the cross strap is not noticeable until I sit down. These are by far the best pair of shoes I now have.

Very comfy but a little too narrow - otherwise 5 stars! These clogs are really comfortable, with great arch support. They are also well made and of high quality. The only problem is actually with my feet, and not with the shoes! If you have wide feet, they will probably fit fine. I ordered one size larger than my size and they were still too narrow. But I have EEE wide feet, so finding a pair of shoes that I can even get my feet into is a pleasant surprise. If you have EE wide feet or narrower, these shoes should fit fine and I'm sure you'll love them. If you've got EEE or wider, they're still too narrow.

I could not get the sizing right with this shoe. I typically wear a 39 in Danskos. The first pair I ordered fit well but the instep seemed very high and there was a little glitch in the way the leather was stapled to the sole. I exchanged for another 39 that was huge on my feet. I think if you can get the sizing right, these shoes would be very comfortable but they are very hit or miss.

These clogs are just what I want--well designed and made--but too loose on my 8.5 (39) feet. I will try the size 38. Speedy delivery as usual, thanks, zappos.
