I really like this shoe and it works well for the kind of exercising I do. I use the Leslie Sansone workouts and there is a lot of back and forth and side to side movements in them. These shoes work well for those actions. I got a 1/2 size smaller because you want your feet to be snug when you do cross-training type of activities. My only complaint is the laces. I wish they would have been the kind that don't come untied instead of the regular laces. For the price of the shoe and the style of shoe I would have expected them to come with the other laces. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the shoe.

This is a great shoe. Very comfortable and roomy and true to size. Feels good after wearing all day. New Balance has generally been the most comfortable brand I can find of any price range.

I love these shoes! They are the first shoes that have fit perfectly in a long time. I went away from New Balance for a while since they all seemed a little too small, but these are just right. They are comfortable and very supportive. Plus, as a bonus, they're nice looking. I use them for walking, fitness, and kickboxing.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worked out in. I walk on the treadmill and do strength training. They are super light on your feet, but still have great support. I wear a 6 in a regular shoe and ordered these a full size up.

Extremely comfortable shoe. It's true to size, runs slightly wide so with lateral moves, foot tends to slip the tiniest bit. Wearing padded socks can help this fit and add more cushioning. Not stiff or hot like many other cross trainers.

Not what I expected for the price. It's true, the shoe is lightweight and good looking, but do not buy it if you have a flat foot (no arch). I will have to purchase new insoles in order to be comfortable in these shoes.

I've had the same pair of New Balance cross-trainers since 2002--so old; I don't even know what make they are! But they were great and I was hesitant to even part with them, but I figured it was time. These are great for everything at the gym: elliptical, light treadmill (I tend to do a lot of uphill speed walking, for hiking etc), weights, whatever. I tend to like my athletic shoes to be gray or with more color, so I'm still waiting to dirty these up a bit--they're very white. But they're nice, and the gray-silver accents offset the glowy white thing. And most importantly, they're comfortable. Lots of support, good for my high arches, nice amount of cushioning. I wear a 6.5 in most shoes, but in NBs I wear a 7 (to wit, I also ordered a 6.5 in these, and they were too tight in the toe; 7 was perfect). I swear by New Balance. They're great for my high arches and wide toes (and I don't have to order a wide shoe size, which is key). And they always come in great styles etc.

I usually wear a 10 1/2, but find with NB I need to go up to an 11. Love this sneaker. I have Achilles issues and this gives the right support for my feet. Super comfortable and make my foot look slim; hard to do!

Just bought these and unfortunately threw away my old shoes so that I can't see what model they were. The old ones fit fine, a previous pair of 8 1/2 D fit fine with my orthotics, so I made an assumption that all NB 8 1/2 D's would work. I almost can't walk. They are way too narrow. I have been wearing them so I can't return them and they are the only shoes I have at the moment. So 'no' to the true to width. I have checked the last and will make sure I don't get the same one again. Also, these are cross trainers so that may make a difference. I believe that I may have purchased runners before.

A perfect shoe for someone who needs lots of support with a wide foot. I always order the cheaper version so that I can compare and the better shoe always wins.
