As usual, Zappos is unbelievable, I ordered the boots late on 4/29 and they were at my home on 4/30 in the afternoon. I have owned Dr. Marten's for over 20 years, and I am very pleased with the moisture managing lining in these new boots. The fit is true to size and they are really nice. High quality construction, nice leather, materials, and stitching. These were purchased for motorcycling, and my initial impression just wearing them around the house is, they will be very comfortable. It's nice to have a shoe that is also very comfortable once you get to a designation on your bike.

These have the fit and feel of the the Dr. Martens men's shoes that have the same many-eyelet design. So, they are good to walk in, but still thick-soled enough and sturdy enough to do boot duty to some degree. I use them as an off-the-bike-into-the-office motorcycle boot. While they are not the classic heavy duty boot, they are much more comfy and versatile. You want a clunker boot, they still make those.

About 3 years ago, I purchased a pair of Doc Martens similar to their current industrial boots for my job. http://www.zappos.com/dr-martens-hardwick-ind-st-black. They are still in great shape after having seen a year and a half in a tire factory where shoes rarely last more than a year without showing heavy wear, so I was inclined to look for a pair of Docs when my sneakers started to wear out. These fit me perfect and feel great. I'm very picky on how a shoe feels around the ankle. I like something that will hold the shoe in place without being uncomfortable or restricting movement. To me, this shoe strikes the perfect balance. The sole feels great to walk on and kind of has a springy feel to it. Zappos was very prompt with their delivery and even escalated my shipping even though I had selected the free option. I ordered these a mere 20 hours before they showed up at my door.

I\'ve only had the boots for approximately a little over one month but so far so good. I work in the construction field so I need a boot that can withstand the water and dirt. That\'s the only thing I wonder about now, how long this boot will last. You can\'t beat the comfort but I am still out on durability as one month is too short to evaulate that. By far the most comfortable shoe I\'ve worn though.

I love these boots. I wanted a black boot that wasn't too clunky for the office yet wearable in the winter and these could be the only shoes I need. The sole is the oxford style instead of the tread boot which at first is a drawback, but it makes them very comfortable and walkable and hasn't compromised much traction so far. The lining is thin and soft, but surprisingly warm and allows for heavier socks. The "9 eye" keeps a tight cinch on the laces and makes slip-on/off a little difficult, but they fit like no other shoe I know and really wrap your foot without feeling tight. Medium width is a fuzzy term so I was pleasantly surprised at the generous width. I'm a size 10-2/3 wide and the 45eu (11) was perfect. A very comfortable, durable all around shoe.

This is a great looking, comfortable shoe. This is lightweight and cushion. If you are a half size, I suggest going down a size rather than up (Dr. Martens are only available in full sizes) unless you have a really wide foot. There's no arch support to speak of, but I just put in my orthotics and these became my most comfortable pair of shoes.

Back to Docs after years of infidelity. Like coming home. Comfortable as a warm bath. Good and wide for my big banana feet.

This is the first pair of Dr. Martens I have tried and I am satisfied with them. At first when trying them on the unusual high lacing was uncomfortable, but I laced them a little differently and they were fine. I like them very much and they look great and feel great.

Wonderful fit and feel - This sandal is wonderfully comfortable and I have very sensitive feet. They fit true to size and support all day. I bought them because they looked cute and comfortable - a combination that is hard to find.

Daisy - I purchased these as a replacement for some other Josef Seibel shoes that are very worn after 6+ years of comfortable service. The footbed and sole style of these is different than my old ones which were very comfortable from day one. The Daisy needs to be broken in as the top straps are cutting into my feet. Also, the arch area seems shallower than the design of my old ones (I have a high arch). I think they may be OK after break-in, but wish they had the same out of box comfort as the other design. Also, I ordered the same size as my old ones, but these seem larger.

Daisy--Great comfort for "bum" ankle - Daisy--This is a replacement of the same shoe worn for 6 mos. out of the year on a daily basis. I have a fused, arthritic ankle and these are the first shoes in 11 years to provide me with the walking comfort and support needed. I have a red pair and have owned the current pair for 3 yrs.--I hope they never discontinue this style. I own another Seibel shoe and it is comfortable also.

Cute! Great shoe! I really love the look of this shoe. I was looking for shoes to wear on our trip to Europe, and I think I found it. They look great and are very comfortable for walking. The only draw back...we had a little rain last week and they really leak! Not for wet weather! Otherwise, great.

I'm torn - Should it stay or should it go? I ordered 12 (!) pairs of low boots, since I had already tried on at least that many at the store, and I need good support. These are the most comfortable of the 12, but so ortho-looking! If the stitching were black instead of contrasting, that would help. Hm-m-m, what to do?

Very supportive shoe, with caveat - Looks good, Leather feels soft & subtle, Very good & supportive sole and arch. One thing though, on the top of the shoe, where the laces start, was tight. It has loosened with wear. I may still take the left shoe to the shoeman and have the top stretched a bit. Take this in consideration if you have issues with the top of your feet.

Comfort, all day comfort, more comfort - I have to wear shoes with non-slip soles to my grocery store job. Also as I am on my feet all day at the store, comfort is very important to me. These shoes come through with flying colors in both categories. My feet sing arias all day long--I NOTICE how comfortable my feet are. The arch support is perfect, I like the high cut uppers. The shoes feel like they were custom made for my feet. If you need support and comfort, if you are on your feet a lot, you cannot do better than this wonderful shoe.

Great work shoe - I am a waitress and these boots are great for long hours on my feet! Felt tight over the top at first but soon stretched out.

So comfy! OK, so these aren't the sexiest or cutest shoes I have in my closet but they are very, very wearable right out of the box. The first time I wore them was for walking around Disneyland on a Friday night. I can't believe they did not hurt my feet and were nice for about 6 hours of non-stop walking. They looked OK with my jeans (not as good as a pair of boots) and probably would have looked better if I could have gotten them in brown instead of black. The toe box is roomy and is a nice change from pointed toes that I wear 90% of the time. Anyway, these are worth the $$ I paid for them in comfort alone. I am going to try another style in this brand; maybe I can find something cuter...
