One of the Best
Soccer Shoes Ever Made -
I bought these at an online store and they were at least a full size smaller than marked. I bought them thinking I'd wear these for casual. Well, I might wear them at someone's carpeted house or at an
outdoor barbecue, but not on hardwood floors or
gym floors. This model has slight
cleats, so they feel awkward on the hardest floors, but fine on carpet. These are really just about the best, most versatile
soccer shoes that I've worn at any price, but they're really meant for turf or hard or firm ground
outdoor surfaces. I'm not sure a better turf shoe could be designed. The only two
soccer games these shoes would not be very useful for is muddy ones (or those on a soft ground) and the
gym floor (the
gym floor issue would be resolved after the "slight"
cleats wear down). The
Puma v.1.08 Trainer is just amazing for playing on turf and for
running on grass. They're outstanding
soccer shoes, fully comfortable yet perfectly snug for turf. I'd recommend all serious
soccer players get them because they are useful in so many different
soccer situations. I'd go with the
Adidas Samba or one of the
Nike Air Sala shoes (flat gum rubber) if you want a crossover
soccer-
street shoe because the v.1.08 are too specific for pro-level
soccer for most casual wear. So I'll still stay with my Sambas for the
street, but I'll take these special
Pumas out for
soccer in most situations. They are awesome. Just buy one size larger, unless Zappos has adjusted these to American sizes. And I don't think that they do that.
