Beautiful shoe, simple and classic. The ankle strap is patent leather which is a nice contrast to the soft leather. I needed to reorder in a size up.

Cute and comfortable - I was pleasantly surprised by these shoes. I usually like pointy toes, but these square toes are very cute with a retro look. The ankle strap is a good size and is removable. I am going to replace it sometimes with a long ribbon for an espadrille/ballerina look!

Red not as appears! Just received this shoe in the red and what a difference from the photo! I bought it because it looked bright, lipstick red which would be fun for spring/summer. I opened the box and found dark, brick red shoes...bummer!!! But the style is really cute! I would need a size 5 instead of 5 1/2 because the toe is really low cut and makes it look too big on my feet. It's worth checking out though because it's really cute and comfy. Just don't expect the colors to be bright as shown, especially the red.

Beautiful Ballet - This wonderful shoe makes me want to just dance. I ordered the 8W and they are true to size and the fit is perfect. This shoe is exquisitely made and the inside reminds me of the ballet shoes I had as a child. The ankle strap is comfortable and removable so you could change the look and thread ribbon for something different. Endless possibilities with this little ballet shoe.

Cute, but... While this shoe is adorable, it is not without its problems. The sole has no cushioning so it offers no shock-absorption at all. The ankle strap is much too generous, I will have to send it to the shoe shop to be cut down at least three inches and have another hole punched into it. Not worth the trouble.

Just what I wanted - Very cute and comfortable - A nice alternative to the ballet flat. Love the look and got compliments on it right away.

Spring winner - Love this shoe. Although, no support, and I work in retail (on my feet all day), this shoe is comfortable. I use a pad in the ball of my foot for additional comfort. I found it very feminine for any fashion look, capri, jean, any pant! My bunion is covered with this ballet style flat, a fact I must consider. I did buy this in wide as well. It doesn't look like a boat on either. Comfy, current, and feminine!

These shoes are really cute! I agree with another reviewer that the ankle strap is abnormally long. I have larger ankles and I was using one of the first two holes, so if you have tiny ankles, you may have to get extra holes punched. Super cute shoe!

This shoe is so cute...love it...I ordered wide and it is perfect...fits well without your foot swimming in the shoe...the red color is deeper than what is pictured, but over all like the feel and the look ankle strap fits fine and I have thin ankles...inside of shore feels soft and comfortable, not a real support shoe, but it’s a ballet flat and most of them do not feel as good as this one...

Cute shoes - These are really cute shoes. I love the purple. You will probably have to put extra holes in the ankle strap. I did. They were a too loose. Also, the ankle strap looks like patent leather. I was not expecting that.

Bostonian' s Denver - Uncomfortable fit because the sole turned up, and pointed up at the toe.

I absolutely love this shoe! Working for the Government I like to keep a military shine on my shoes, and because of the structure of the front, this is the perfect shoe for that perfect shine. Definitely worth the money, almost a perfect fit from the beginning, only wish they had a wide width in 11.5. Overnight shipped and would definitely purchase from Zappos again.

Great military shoe - I am a naval officer and this shoe is great. It looks great, is amenable to a wicked shine, and is much more comfortable than Bates. This is a great, high quality plain toe Oxford.

Great shoe! Right out of the box these shoes looked awesome. I have wide feet, and the "wide" size fit perfectly! I'm in the military and am on my feet all day...super comfortable, and you can put a mirror-like shine on them very easily. Highly recommend!

Just another shoe outta Boston... Nice. I knew once I saw the cut & jib of these dog shirts, I was sold. Sweet looking, and comfortable, they broke in and feel like a second skin. I wear no other shoes but Bostonians, and the Denver model just echoes the reason why...sweet.

Best work shoe ever - I have had pair of Bostonian Classics that look a lot like the Denver for close to 10 years now and the structure and body are still in great shape. I have had it re-heeled once. It’s up for a 2nd reheeling, but I think I am going to get a new pair. I love the shoes and its classic Oxford look, good job Bostonian!!

Great dress shoe! Like another reviewer, I bought these shoes to wear with the tux in my daughter's wedding. I have worn them, before the big day, to ensure that they fit well and are comfortable. They pass with flying colors on both counts! As a retired Navy officer, I also appreciate the fact that they shine well and easily. The look is classic and classy, with an updated treatment at the heel. Unlike some "inspection shoes" I had, these are actually comfortable for walking and standing. The service from Zappos was also great.

As a retired Marine, this is a great shoe! It is a classic military style shoe and I love it. What an awesome shoe to kick some maggots head off with. HOO-RAH!

Best dress shoe I've had in a while! This shoe was a joy to step into the very first time. As it was my first Bostonian, I will be looking at more in the future!
