The Devil is in the details. Greetings! Classic longwing bluchers abound these days. Every traditional shoemaker has more than one model in his catalogue. I have compared this
Florsheim model with their direct rivals, mainly the
Allen-Edmonds' MacNeil and the Alden Wingtip Blucher Oxford and frankly, none of the other shoes looks or feels better than the Kenmoor. Being from Spain, I am familiar with leather, as my country makes one of the best-quality leather in the world. That is the first detail that separates it from the rest: the treatment the leather has received in the Kenmoor, which gives it a subtle but striking look, best appreciated in the tan color, (the one I own), which by the way is handstained, (check out the larger picture to see this for yourself). The second great difference is the double leather outsole, which guarantees years of use and lasting quality. Last, is the price, which is from $70 to $75 better than the above mentioned competitors. This is Florsheim's top and most expensive model, their true masterwork and it's worth every penny.
