Warm, stylish, highly functional! These boots look great with winter skirts and with tucked away jeans. They are very warm, even in extra low Boston temperatures! I haven't tried 'em out in the snow yet (flat-bottomed, so I think they won't have enough traction), but they are the perfect winter boot. It has a nice transition between the boot and whatever tights you're wearing. Despite no arch support, they're still comfortable.

Super-comfy and very cute - I've had these boots for a couple of weeks now and am really enjoying them. They are really comfortable and required almost no break-in time. I am a stickler for comfort when it comes to shoes and these met my standards. The bottom doesn't have very deep tread but I haven't found that to be a problem in icy or slushy conditions. They don't have furry lining on the inside but with somewhat thick socks, my feet haven't been cold yet (I have tested these to about 5 degrees and up). It is a bit hard to get your pant leg in them right since they don't zip all the way down. I'd highly recommend these boots!

These boots are super cute and, though they are expensive, I was really hoping they would work for my upcoming trip to Europe in January. Unfortunately, they were too tight around my calves so they had to go back. Certainly no room for jeans or leggings in there. Otherwise, a great boot!

Comfortable enough for every day, yet fits with the suit. Great shoe that lasts. I am on my second pair. They have lasted well over 1 1/2 years. I wear them every day. I used to wear a black (Reebok) athletic walking shoe, but they lasted 6 to 8 months max. Ecco still looks great after a year. The insole and support do not collapse either. I am looking at buying my next pair soon. I recommend them to everyone.

This is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, with the exception of athletic shoes. I've tried a lot of shoes, and nothing else even comes close. It's all I've worn to work for the past three to four years. I own two pairs, a black and a dark brown. The Cross is the most comfortable of the Ecco shoes I've tried by far. One caveat: I have a high arch, and the shoe is best suited for people with a high arch, I think. The shoes provide extremely good support and cushioning, as well as wrap-around-your-foot comfort. Other pluses: They last a long time. I've gotten 1-1/2 to 2 years out of mine, and that's wearing them on average of three times a week. They're also easy to take care of and require almost no polishing, just a wipe off with a damp cloth. When the soles on one pair wore through, I had them rebuilt for $65 from an outfit in San Diego. Since the uppers showed almost no wear, it was well worth it.

Watch out for the sole. Folks, this is God's gospel -- I bought a pair of these just a couple years ago. They ARE very comfortable. The problem is, where they printed "Ecco" on the sole... the sole has come apart. It's very thin where they burned their name in to the bottom of the shoe. The material looks like it just disentigrated. I am trying to find their web site to check on returning them as defective. If you saw the inside of the shoe, you would know that I have not worn them much. I might also add that I have had neuroma surgery on one foot and since this shoe is wide, they are extra comfy. I am disappointed though with the sole situation.

First pair of Ecco shoes - Cross. Purchased my first Ecco shoe seven years ago and still wear them everyday, mostly to the office. Walked mile after mile in total comfort, definitely the best shoe I have ever purchased. I think I will get one more year of wear from this shoe. I have just received a new pair of Seawalkers and I am just as impressed with this model.

Very comfortable shoe, lightweight. The sole has been a big problem. Cracked around the Ecco logo at the bottom and at the heal. I have a slight pronation and wear my heals to the inside. The outside separated first, then shreaded. I alternate shoes, and am not hard on them. Very dissapointed with the sole, reputation appears better than the goods.

The most comfortable shoe I've EVER worn. A friend of mine recommended Ecco and I bought the Ecco Cross style. They are like wearing no shoe at all. Lightweight, comfortable and they breathe. If you are on your feet a lot this is the shoe for style, comfort and fit. They are pricey but well worth it and they last forever.

Cracked Soles I have been wear "the cross" for over 6 years now-Great Shoe. There's was a problem with cracking of the sole of a couple of pairs I had- but I was able to have them replaced. The sole is guaranteed for 1 year. If you do not have your recipt and they look good, but with cracked soles contact Ecco or the shop you purchased them. Good Luck

Ecco Black/Forest Nubuck I've been wearing these Ecco shoes for 7 years and they're unbeatable in comfort. Great year-round shoes.

Cracked Soles I bought 2 pairs of these, a $300+ investment. They're very comfortable and look great. You can wear them daily, all day with no foot fatigue. But the sole cracked on both pairs within a year, right across the ECCO logo. This is a full thickness crack, clean through to the insole. ECCO engineers really screwed up the sole on the Cross. They should have omitted the logo so that the sole had uniform thickness. The Seawalker sole is much better. I'm surprised that the Cross has not been pulled from production. -Very common problem.

My only review. 'Have enjoyed my only experience yet with Ecco Cross. I've worn this pair for two years, as my main shoe. I've had threads at the toe come loose, and repaired by a local shop. Absolutely, the most comfortable, supportive, and well-wearing shoe I've owned. Considering the fact I have always been hard to please in the shoe department, what with my feet being in pain or discomfort most of the time. I now have a shoe that causes my feet to want to go!
