These shoes are excellent, and I am very happy to have them. They are comfortable and supportive.
Please do note, they need a little break in period, so if you plan to go on any long hikes or walks it is best to get them early enough to break them in a little...

For a number of years I have been wearing custom inserts for various foot problems. I bought my first pair of Merrells, the Outland model and for the first time I have a shoe that gives me great support and rigidity. I was so enthused by the feel and comfort of the shoes that I bought a second pair of Merrells, a different model. Here again I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend Merrells to anyone, as I have had many makes and models over the years.

I have been wearing my current pair of
Merrell Outlands for almost a year in the harsh weather conditions of Iraq. I can say that these shoes are durable, well-made and very comfortable.

Let me first state that I have a very hard time finding shoes that are comfortable and don't hurt my feet. I work on my feet all day and go for walks every day so I need a comfortable shoe. These
Merrell Outlands are my choice. They do need a slight break in period although not long. The heel doesn't slip and the toe box is roomy. Once broken in these are the most comfortable shoes I own. I wear them every day to work and even go for walks with them. I even bought a new pair for a backup (just in case they discontinue them). I have other Merrells also like the Moab ventilator and Moab XCR. These are good also, but not like the Outland. By the way the Moab ventilator is more comfortable than the XCR. Hope this helps!

Excellent shoes. Have had for about a month now. Very comfortable, sturdy construction, outstanding tread, reasonably breathable. Haven't worked them for a long hike yet, but I'm confident that they will serve me well, just as my last pair of Merrells did.

First of all, let me say that Merrell's footbed is a good fit for me. We're all built different, but this is one of the best fitting shoes for my feet. That said, this shoe appears to be well-made. The sole is fairly stiff and provides great protection against anything under your feet, on or off the beaten path. It feels quite stable, as well. Wearing them all day, my feet do not become tired or sore. I'll be happily wearing them whenever I plan to be on rugged ground, no matter where or why.

Excellent shoe. Bought mine for work and have had them for a year or more. Very durable and comfy, but with me being on my feet all day the cushioning in them has flattened out so it's about time for a new pair. But for a whole year worth of work and they're in one piece, they're worth the money.

This shoe is awesome, extremely comfy right out of the box. I wear a size 12, and bought a size 12, and they fit perfectly. The shoe looks great, too. Even better in person, than it did on the computer. Haven't had them long enough to comment on durability, but they seem very rugged and well built. I am very happy with these shoes!
