Super cute ballet flats - Very nice leather, stitching, and the round toe shape is perfect! Plus, the built-in arch support is very nice! I've yet to wear these walking on the street (so far have only worn them in my carpeted office), so I can't speak to how they will feel walking the streets of NYC! But so far (in my office) so good. The style of these shoes is reminiscent of say Audrey Hepburn in a full skirt or a 1950's office lady wearing a cigarette style skirt paired with a cardigan sweater set. These shoes would be perfect with such outfits. Very classic, simple, and lady-like!

Simply Perfect - A wonderful and simple shoe. FINALLY! No bows. No buckles. Beautiful classic toe shape, subtle stitching, and just enough heel.

Comfortable, simple flat - These shoes are simple, comfortable flats with good cushioning. I wore them to work right out of the box without any break-in period.

Swell - VERY comfortable but not frumpy at all. They look great with skinny jeans, capris leggings and skirts, but would pair well with a suit, too. Unlike many dress flats, they actually stay on when you walk. I love these shoes! (And I love Zappos!)

Heel is too "squishy". To add to a review I'd written below, one thing I've noticed is that the heel is made of a "squishy" material, it's not a "solid" heel. So what happens is that when you walk, your foot never feels secure. This is very bad for your ankle as the foot moves from side to side a bit. When you step down on the ground, you never feel that you are on solid ground, because of the squishy heel.
