My first encounter with Mizuno was when I was living in Japan and my old Asics, which needed replacing anyway, were ruined circumstance. I have been a die-hard Mizuno fan ever since. I will grant that I often dislike most of the color choices, but I usually find some colors I like. Since then, I have purchased Mizuno Wave Nexus every few years as I grind them into the dirt. They start as my running shoes, and when I've abused them enough, I buy a new pair, and use the old pair for general around town shoes. They are super lightweight, and exceptionally comfortable. Of course their breathable nature makes them highly susceptible to water, so you will get wet feet if you run in the rain. But the flip side is they dry out pretty easily too. My one and only complaint is that most of the color choices Mizuno offers are way too loud. I like either all black, or at least subtle colors, and thus the selection of colors I like are usually few to choose from. But all-in-all, these things have been the hands-down best athletic shoes I've owned after years of running, and I will continue to come back to these when I've worn out my old ones.

A great shoe, provides excellent support for my feet and very comfortable too. I am neutral in my right foot and moderate over-pronate in my left foot, and I wear orthotic inserts to compensate. These shoes are super-comfortable normally and /or with my orthotics and have excellent support. Highly recommend.

Seem a bit wider in the toe box than my Asics and generally more comfortable for what I use them for (mainly just walking, not running). Wearing well and have had several tumbles in the washer and dryer with no ill effects. (I know, I know -- gasp!)
