I already own the tall Pug in a tan color and love them (bought them about 2 years ago and wear them all the time in fall/winter). They are super soft and fluffy and warm. I feel like I walk on clouds. I wanted a black pair and saw this pair on
sale at Zappos. However, when they arrived I immediately noticed they are vastly different from my other 14" Pugs. The height is definitely not 14". I measured and it just about hits 11", that is being generous, (at first I thought they sent the 9" in error). Also the sole is different (my original have a heavier sturdier rubber sole but these soles look like a rubber-like foam). Lastly the sheepskin on this pair is not as velvety on the outside nor as silky soft and thick and fluffy on the inside as my original Pugs. These are definitely not anything like the quality of the Pugs I own. When you stand them side by side the black pair looks skinny and wimpy in comparison. I went ahead and ordered another pair of Pugs from another site and will wait to compare the two. I am not sure if there are two different styles of Pug's out there or if they changed the style since I bought my original pair. They're not what I was hoping to receive, they actually feel cheaper and are not the high quality of the ones I already own. I did put them on and they are comfortable to wear. But I want a taller boot. These come a little above my calf while my other pair are only a few inches below my knee. I have tried the EMU Bronte style in the past but my heel flops up and down in those and the lining is rougher. These Pugs are similar in quality and style to the EMU Bronte. These are more comfortable than the EMU Bronte, but they are just not what I was expecting. I do not get the walking on clouds feeling of my original pair.
