Luxury shoe - This is one most clean-cut shoe I’ve ever been able to find... and they also go well with jeans and khakis!...the perfect shoe...

A wider shoe would have been preferable. Under the circumstance the one you sent will make do. Not withstanding the above I find the Tretorn is still the best for its intended purpose.

Classic - Still one of the best looking classic casual shoes. And comfortable. They are a little narrow for a wide foot but still great shoes.

World's best canvas shoe - I've worn this shoe for nearly 30 years. Stocked up on them when they were unavailable for a time. Only shoe I've ever mail-ordered, because they feel comfortable even when they're new. They remind me of the soft feel of moccasins, but tough enough for sports, and I'm a 285lb bodybuilder who picks up a bar with 765 lbs while wearing them. Sweet shoe.

I'm a child of the 80's and love Tretorns. These feel just like they did back then - very comfortable. If you're considering getting them from Zappos, keep this in mind: 1. These shoes aren't white. They're off-white. 2. The plastic gullwing logo on the side IS pure white. 3. The stitched trim that outlines the tongue, the lace well, and the "v" toe IS also pure white. If you look at them in indoor light, you can't tell the difference, but if you go outside and look down at them, you'll notice a big difference. It doesn't look bad per-se. Just odd. And definitely not what they looked like back in the day. Now, here's what's really odd: before I knew Zappos carried these shoes, I bought some online from the Tretorn website. When they arrived, I noticed... 1. They are pure white all over. 2. The gullwing logo is leather, not plastic. 3. They're made from a distinctly heavier canvas than the ones I got from Zappos. 4. They're not as comfortable as the ones I got from Zappos. I ended up keeping both pair. Both look and feel great. Not totally sure why there's a difference, but I like them so much I really don't care. Just be advised, there is a difference. If you get them from Tretorn, they'll look like they did in the 80's. If you get them from Zappos, they'll feel like they did in the 80's.

Always a Classic! I really remember these shoes from the late 70's and they still look and fit the same. They have a simple classic elegance and (in my opinion) look great with Levis 501's. They are very flexible and light and are comfortable without socks. The only con with these shoes is that the insoles are as flat as a board. I really need arch support with my shoes so I added some 3/4 length insoles - voila instant support. These shoes run very true to size or maybe even slightly large. So if you normally wear a size 9, then order a size 9! Without socks and depending on your foot build, one might even need an 8.5. With Zappos great service and blindingly fast shipping getting the correct size will be a breeze!

They were shoes that I wore in high school and was so glad to find them still being made. They are very comfortable which is something hard for me to find since having surgery on one of my feet.

Not the Tretorns I remember - I love the look of this shoe but am disappointed with the quality/feel. I used to love these growing up but remember a padded heel and terry cloth lining. These do not have a comfortable lining for use without socks. Zappos delivery was amazing though! I was thrilled to receive them the day I after I ordered them!

Blast from the past. This is a super-comfortable tennis shoe that's been my favorite since it first appeared on the scene in the late 1960s. I like it because it doesn't look like a "clown shoe". It’s also washable.

Reviewer from Mississippi - I love my Tretorns. I have been wearing them for 19 years. I think they work really well with jeans, khakis, shorts or sweats. They are by far the best looking and most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The solid white tretorns or the ones with navy trim are great, but I would like to see tretorns made in other trim colors. Possibly in lighter to medium blues or even some plaids. The norm is great, but a change in color would be nice. As long as tretorn continues to make such an outstanding product I will continue buying and wearing them with pride.
