This shoe is cute on the foot. But, it is at least 1/2 a size too small. I have a small foot and will wear either a 5.5 or 6.0 depending on the shoe. I was purchasing this shoe to use on a vacation where I intend to walk a lot. So, I decided to buy the 6 so I'd have some room for my feet to swell a bit from all the walking. Well, even the 6 was snug. Too snug for my comfort. No arch support either. Too bad. It looks great on the foot.

So, it runs a little small. Other than that, I'm in love. There are all sorts of problems I run into with a lot of other flats: they're tight on the toes, rub the heel, slip off the heel, make my feet look even smaller than the size 6 they already are. I can't complain about any of these things with the Mahdi. They're great for work, and I even wore them working about 12 hours on my feet, with a fairly minimum amount of discomfort (zero is impossible, I think). If I have one style quibble, it's that the crossover fabric is identical from shoe to shoe, rather than being symmetric. But that is honestly a quibble. Other than that, I find myself admiring my own feet when I wear these. In fact, after resolving the sizing issue, I want the black and red versions of these shoes. Order at least a half-size larger. If you're one of those people who tends to sometimes wear a half-size up, I would recommend a full size up, which is what I wound up with.

The best flat shoe ever. I've worn my pair for some part of every day for 3 months. I thought the black satin would show marks - it doesn't. They don't slip off - and haven't become loose at all. I've since bought two more pairs in different colours, and I'm now thinking of buying them in red. I don't want them to wear out. Plus amazingly fast service from Zappos - I'm a very happy customer.

Being Graceful - Very nice looking even on my wide, muscular feet. As a person who has a hard time being graceful (understatement) with high heels, these make me feel dressed up. They stay on while walking at top speed. I take 8 1/2 or 9 usually - the 9 was the right choice.

Ouch! I got these to be a casual flat, but the first time I put them on, I could barely walk across the room before they were pinching my toes. I am very disappointed, but I will have to continue my search for a comfortable and cute black summer flat.

I have very wide feet, they’re like outboard motors, so buying any shoe requires some compromise. I generally wear a 7.5W, but since that wasn’t available, I got an 8 and an 8.5 after reading reviews recommending a larger size. I had to send the 8.5 back, just too long. The 8 fits well, it is a bit snug around the widest part of my foot. The first day wearing them was a bit painful, my feet felt a little pinched, but I really think they’ll give a little. The length is perfect and they are very, very cute! I wanted the anthracite, but they were out of my size, so I opted for the red snaky ones. They seem like good walking shoes. Once they conform more to the shape of my unfortunate feet, I’m sure I’ll wear them everywhere this summer.

A comfortable shoe that looks great! I needed it to be a 1/2 size bigger than I usually wear, for more comfort... just a good looking comfortable shoe! Perfect for casual or dressy...

Great Shoes. Well, no doubt these are very comfortable shoes! One problem with them though: if you're going to be very active in them, they're just canvas and do get holes and fall apart within a few months or even weeks. But take care of them, and they last a while. I bought a pair and learned that they fell apart. Then got another pair and took more care of them and I still wear them!

Old School Shoes. I've been playing basketball for almost 10 years and I've never had a pair of shoes as good as the old school "Chuck Taylor Converse" basketball shoes. They're cheap, durable, and the best shoe for any real ball player!

Converse All-Star Sneakers: The Ultimate In Punk Footwear. Is there any other shoe that defines punk music as well as these? Spiked leather boots come close, but these shoes, sir, they're number one. If you even remotely like punk music, these shoes are for you. P.S. These shoes are great for going to shows in as well!

You'll be Asked Where You Found These. These were required wear for "gym class" in the 50's/60's -I know. I never gave up on them as they're still handy to wear in those gyms/weight rooms where other shoes are not permitted. They wash easily, and are versatile. Granted, if you wear them daily for the street, they wear out quick and the soles will separate. However, they're unbeatable for their intended purpose, and they wear well for amphibious activities if you need boat or coral shoes. Buy them whenever you find them, and I recommend Zappos.com. And, people will ask, "Where'd you find those?"

Good Stuff. These shoes are classic. I don't know why people are saying they fall apart easily because mine have lasted over 3 years and I wear them regularly. I love how thin the soles are because you can feel the ground so well.

The Best! These are the best sneakers ever made. My favorites are the high BLACK canvas Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars. I've been wearing this style for a long time and I still think that they're the greatest. So comfortable and sharp looking!

Chucks are so incredibly groovy! Yes, these shoes rock. -Comfortable, cheap, and groovy-looking! Just don't skateboard in them, then it tears holes in the canvas! =( Anyways, buy these shoes or you're a loser.

I'm keepin' mine so Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam can sign 'em. Anyone, who is debating buying this shoe or not, I say you should.

Happy shoesies. I wear these shoes to shows, and they'll go through anything. Those who have been to a few rough shows know that inevitably, a shoe will fly through the air because someone lost it in a mosh pit. Just lace up these hi-tops, stick a safety pin through the bow (keeps it from untying), and you're good to go.

The greatest shoe on earth! How do those poor, unfortunate souls who've never owned a pair of Converse All Stars survive? My red Converse high-tops make me so happy every time I put them on. They're fun, quirky, and incredibly comfortable. There are only two problems with these shoes, as I see it: 1) they're lousy winter shoes, so if you live in the Arctic wastelands of, say, Michigan, be forewarned. 2) They do fall apart more quickly than most shoes, particularly if you're as hard on them as I am, but the comfort and style and overall happiness of the shoes is worth it. These shoes are Good Times, USA.
