These shoes look good, feel good, and smell good! These are the most comfortable shoes I've had, and I've had NB in the past.

Not as expected -
I wear an 8 or sometimes a 8.5 EEEE in women's so usually 7 or 7.5 EEEE in a man's shoe fits fine. Not so with this shoe. The 7.5 was a full size too small and the 4E width was way to narrow (even though it claimed to be a man's shoe size). Thank goodness Zappos has a great refund policy!

My favorite
running shoe!
I'm on my fourth pair of the 498, and it's the best
running shoe that I've ever owned. As a runner who competes in 5k/10k races, and who has high arches, these shoes has the cushioning and support I need. the EE width accomodate my
orthotics, which I found the D width to be too narrow, and the 4E to be too wide. I've even purchased a White pair for work (I'm a nurse) which being on my feet for most of the day, these shoes keep my feet from feeling sore by the end of my shift. I also wear them for casual use since I wear alot of blue and grey. Definitely worth the $.

An excellent shoe. My 4th pair. Would prefer darker color but did not have a choice. Color is better than all white which I simply will not purchase.

NICE FIT!
If you have a Narrow foot with a Narrow heel, give this model a try in the Narrow size. I encounter heel slip with every shoe I own but not with this model. Truly a super soft comfortable shoe to boot! If you can still find this model, it’s well worth it for a very comfortable shoe with a good fit. VERY HAPPY!!

New Balance M496 -
I was told of the Zappos site by a friend, and I am very pleased to have found that it is as good if not better then what I had been told of it.
So far we have ordered 2 pairs of shoes from it and intend to order 2 more pairs this week.
So thank you for the service.
About the
New Balance shoe, it is an excellent shoe, fits very comfortable and looks great, have not as yet put it through it's apace for jogging/walking etc, however after my trip to Lake Tahoe, where we intend to walk a lot I will add further comments.

Solid Shoe -
I have beaten the hell out of these shoes and they're still holding up after quite a while. If you have
arch-support issues, consider this product. I have very flat arches and I wear with orthodics. Usually the first area to show damage on my shoes is the
arch support area--this is the first pair of shoes I've owned that show NO damage in that area after much use and abuse!

It's been incredibly difficult finding a pair of shoes for my husband's wide, flat feet that are comfortable and in his elusive side of 12.5 and wide. The M498s were recommended by a professional and of course, Zappos had it in the correct size that could not be found anywhere else. Not only was customer service great, the shoes came in 1 day. My husband says he hasn't worn such comfortable shoes - ever. Thanks Zappos.
