Best shoes for my very active 2 year old! He hates wearing bulky shoes so I figured converse would be perfect. He has wide feet and these don't pinch. He loves them and despite the pattern they go with everything. Easy to put on and not having to worry about tripping on shoelaces. I have washed them multiple times and they still look great. I hear they run a size big for most kids. I think for the price and classic look they are worth it. The only shoes I will buy for my son.

Functionally, these sneakers are great! Good arch support for my high arches, large toe box for my wide foot, Nike+ integration, and super light-weight feel make this sneaker fantastic. The only problem I had was the color. Too bad Zappos had no other color combo available. Initially, I was not a fan of gray and neon green. However, now the color scheme is growing on me. I highly recommend these sneakers. Especially if, like me, you have a wide foot with a high arch.

First test run in these shoes today - 1:15, dirt trails, steep up and downs, mildly technical sections, and about 400 yards of asphalt. I'm very stoked with these shoes. Neutral, high arch, 95% trails, wide toe area, 155lbs, run every other day. The shoe is simple and fairly light. No seem issues inside the shoe. No odd straps across the toes. The shoe has very good arch support - I didn't need my Sole inserts. The toe box is wide. The heel fits nicely, but not ultra clamp tight. When the shoe is too snug in the heel, the back of my heel hurts. Unlike the Lunarglide, I don't perceive anything trying to control pronation. Cushioning isn't Vomero like, but comparable to the Lunarglide - maybe a tad less. The heel feels a tad bit higher. Nice grippy tread. No pronation or underpronation wobble on the trail. The laces are kind of lame as well as the flouro green color. Overall, I think I have finally found a shoe I can stick with until Nike "tweaks" it. I like this shoe a lot.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've found in a long time. I've bought something like seven pairs so far, and I'll probably buy a few more before they discontinue them. First and foremost, they have a lot of cushioning, without being too squishy. I'm a reasonably large guy, and most shoes have insufficient padding for me to run comfortably on hard surfaces. Not so for these shoes. Second, they have a great fit for my big toes. Most shoes get too narrow on the inside, which rubs against my big toes. Not these shoes. They fit like a dream. I'm sure these shoes aren't perfect for everyone, but if you're looking for a really good neutral cushioning shoe, you'd be well advised to at least give this one a shot.

The Nike Run Avant+ is a great shoe! I bought these for my son and he says that they are well-cushioned while still being lightweight. Fit runs true to size. He now owns two pairs of these comfortable shoes and recommends them highly.

Nice, comfortable, ultra light, looks great, and good arch support for \r\nneutral arches. Not sure if I\'d run over 10k in them yet!

The Nike Run Avant+ is a minimalist type shoe in the Bowerman mold. Saying that, I was surprised by the cushioning and comfort of the sole. Very light, with little support, this shoe is either for the smaller runner who does some work on smooth trails, or the person who likes a comfortable athletic shoe to go with jeans during the weekend. I bought the black on black model, which has an understated style to go with its minimalist structure. I would get these again.

I bought these based on the reviews and I have to say these are not for me. While being pretty stylish compared to most running shoes, and super light, I don't feel the cushion everyone is talking about? I am 6'3", 214 pounds, and after running 3 miles on a treadmill my whole lower body hurt, which I never got from my New Balance. Knees, lower back, thighs, they all hurt. I am not a marathon runner, I strictly run 2-3 miles 3-4 days a week to stay in shape. So if you are an avid runner and like light no cushion shoes these might be for you. I think I just need a lot more support. On the other hand, I did use these as trainers and they were great. So they aren't a total wash. Just will not use them as my running shoes! (On a side note, I usually buy wide shoes and they do not make these in wide, but they still are wide enough for me, hope this helps.)

Excellent shoe. I run outside and on treadmill and the Avant has held up exceptionally well. Less expensive than the Glide by Nike, but just as nice.

Last minute my son needed running shoes. We headed out to the local stores and come to find out size 14 is not available at stores. Panic hits, we go to Zappos, pick out the shoe he liked at the store and placed the order immediately. It was delivered within 3 days! We were a bit nervous since it's the first time buying shoes for him online. My son was thrilled and excited. They are comfortable, roomy and extremely lightweight. We will be ordering from Zappos going forward.

Shoes fit right, are light and comfortable. Zappos is the only place I buy shoes at. Customer service is the best.
