Outside heel base breakdown - After receiving these shoes I found they were very comfortable and enjoyed working out in our health club with them on. After wearing them for approximately 6 months I noticed the outside of the heel on the left side began to breakdown. The rubber composite began to disintegrate and gave the shoe a look that wasn't very attractive. I wonder if other wearers had the same problem.

Great Work Shoes - Great shoe for work, second set of shoes that I’ve ordered for work, couldn’t get a better fit or level of comfort. The service was great and the company goes out of their way to make things easy for you and shipments are fast and reliable. Have ordered casual shoes as well, and love them also... and will buy shoes again for work and leisure.

Great wide shoes! I have ordered several pairs of these shoes for my husband who has extra wide feet. He loves them and it saves us a trip all around town to find size 12 triple wide. Very true to size and sturdy. Not to mention, just a good looking tennis shoe. I also get his casual dress shoes at Zappos, Propet also. Great shoes!

Comfort - I have been buying Propet shoes from Zappos for some time now and I really enjoy the comfort they give me. I have short wide feet that are hard to find shoes for and Zappos and Propet offer quality shoes and comfortable shoes. I'm glad they're on-line. I’ve even purchased some for my father who has a hard time finding shoes and he loves them.

Excellent pronation stabilization. I have searched for a long time for a shoe that would offer the pronation support I need and thanks to the reviews of this shoe I have found one. It took a short time to get used to the support but now I keep a second pair available at all times! My thanks to the previous reviewers and may I add my own declaration of "support"!

I must admit that I had never heard of Propet shoes prior to purchasing my first pair here. They looked good in the picture and that is all that mattered at the time. Therefore, when they arrived, I was satisfied the moment I opened the box. What took me by surprise was how incredibly light they were as I removed each from the box, even with each shoe being stuffed full with wadded paper to help the shoe retain its shape in transit. I removed all the paper and again marveled at the lightness of this shoe, even with my size 11 1/2 gunboats. The construction was solid they felt great when I put them on for the first time. I am a retired letter carrier and wish I had discovered these shoes when I was still working. They have all the support and comfort you need and all the style you want, all in one shoe. I have previously purchased Nike, Reebok, and Rockport walking shoes. This pair finishes far ahead of all of those with Rockport coming in 2nd. If you're a Rockport person and used to Rockport comfort, you'll truly love these shoes. If you like the style Nike and Reebok offer but desire more in comfort, try these. I feel as if the sizing is accurate but snug. If you're a "between sizes" person, order a 1/2 size up. I used my shoe stretchers overnight to widen the toe area slightly and "VIOLA", the shoes were now broken in and sheer joy to wear. Even without my shoe stretchers, I doubt that there would have been any long or uncomfortable break-in time.

The Walker - The only problem I had with this shoe was that it would rub that back of my foot to blister as I wore it and at the same time would gather my socks into a ball underneath my foot. The size of the shoe is the same as other Propet shoes that I have purchased but this time I got them as wide as possible. Overall, I think in time, the shoe will either wear out my foot, or I will wear out the shoe.

Large Size - I was overjoyed to see a walking shoe in my size (15 narrow)! The reviews said that it was a light shoe that felt good on the feet. Well in my size it was a heavy, clunky-looking shoe that was not the most comfortable shoe of its kind that I own.

Stiffer Than Expected - Although reviews of this shoe indicate that they are super comfortable right out of the box, I found that not so. They tended to bind to the point of pinching and irritating in the middle of the instep -- or at about the middle lace hole. This is a problem with many shoes -- especially those of lower quality. The only solution is to wear them and grin and bear it until they are "broken in." Basically, the shoe is stiff. I've walked about 5 miles in them and they have softened a little, but I would still consider them too stiff. Likely they will soften further with continued wearing.
