Good shoe for foot and hip pain -
This shoe works well for someone like me, who suffers from osteo-arthritis with degenerative disc disease resulting in 3 herniated discs. Also have a calcific tendonitis in my hip, which I think resulted from limping due to plantar fasciitis. I used to do very high impact aerobics every day, I assume this brought on these injuries. This shoe, so far, enables me to carry on in a very active job managing a farm co-operative including the computer system which means jumping and
running a lot. I also have 3 pairs of the
Ecco Performance RXP 3050, which are good too but not quite as good. I wear a
Sof sole athletic orthotic which forces me to buy a size up so my feet feel like clodhoppers, but I wouldn't last the day without this set up. I recommend a size bigger if you are using an orthotic. I wish they had this shoe in better colors, like solid white or beige, but I
guess I am
lucky I have it in any color. For some reason, they make these
Ecco Performance RXPs in weird colors. It should be noted that I found this brand after calling the 800 # Zappos hotline and explaining to the consultant the nature of my foot and hip injuries. She then steered me to this brand of shoe and I tried out the different models to find the best (3060). I would probably be suffering more than I do with pain if it weren't for the excellent consultant with whom I spoke. I owe Zappos thanks for that. Worth the price if pain is a factor for sure. I also like the cool mesh, it's like air conditioning since I cannot wear
sandals or
flip flops. With a low sock, you can actually feel fairly cool with it even on hot days.
