Fantastic shoe - back to the "old" style -
I had my last pair of
Teva's for 9 years, when they finally wore out, I tried many different pairs of
Teva's, but they all seemed to have this overly thick heel and I kept feeling like I had women's
heels on - all the weight was transferred to the balls of my feet. But this style is back to the "old" way - where the padding is a little less thick but not any less cushy. IMHO, there was nothing wrong with their old style of shoes and I’m glad to see someone at
Teva agrees with me and has managed to hang on to this superior way of building a shoe. The flexion is perfect, while the sole gives support, it also is easy to flex (an issue with
Teva's thicker styles). The looks, however, I find the grey of the sole to be kinda blechy - would rather have the sole be black. The amount of adjust-ability in the straps is very nice - everything you expect from a good
Teva. I hope these will last me as long as my last ons did. It's hard to find shoes out there that will stand up to 9 years of almost constant use and punishment, but
Teva stands as a model of how to make a shoe last.
