These boots are amazing! Here are my stats: I'm 5'6 , wear size 8, and my calf has a 15.5" circumference. It's usually so frustrating to find boots that fit, as I have to go up a size and then it's too big in the foot. Hunter boots? Forget about it. So I was so excited when I found these. They're perfect. I can wear them with skinny jeans and they don't bulk up. They can be stiff at first, but get very comfortable quickly. Hope this helps!

I absolutely love these boots. I've had so much trouble finding boots that fit me because I have really wide athletic calves (17 inches around the widest part). I'd basically given up on finding tall boots that fit, but fell in love with these ones and figured I'd give them a shot (I heart Zappos shipping policy). I could actually get them on! They are a little big snug with my skinny jeans, but I'm assuming that the leather will stretch a tad as I wear them in. And with leggings or tights they feel just great. I'm normally a size 10, and my feet slip around a little, particularly in the heel area. I'm not sure it's a full half-size larger (I think the 9.5 might be too small for me), but it's definitely roomier than other Frye boots I've tried on. I bought them in Tan, although I was also really tempted by the Grey color. The tan is beautiful; it's sort of rustic looking and very unique. The color is lighter than most boots I've seen, though not quite as light as it looks in the photo. Fantastic boots, I'd definitely recommend them. If you have more slender calves (lucky!) though, you might be swimming in them a little.

I bought these January 2010 and had a love-hate-love relationship with them. I'm 5' tall, 120 lbs, with a 14.5" calf at the largest point. I usually wear a size 4 or 6 in clothes and a 6.5 or 7 shoe. I bought them in a 6.5 in black and they were beautiful from the start. The leather is like butter, there was absolutely no breaking in period and I loved them. But after a while I felt like they were too tall for my frame, they came right under my knees, and then the extra pieces of leather started to flare out making my legs look wider than they actually are. I took them to my shoe guy and he sewed the outer flaps down on the sides which definitely helped, but it didn't solve the problem of the shaft being too tall for me. Plus, I found I couldn't wear them with skinny jeans; I could only wear them over leggings or with tights & a skirt. Being so petite, I could only wear them with a relatively short skirt or else the proportions were all wrong. For the price I really wanted something I could use all the time. So began the hate part (sigh). Now it's November 2010 and I'm back to loving them. The leather has softened even more so they slouch just enough to bring the shaft down about an inch or 2 which is perfect for me. Plus, I can wear them for 13 hours straight without a problem. People have reported the soles are thin and they are, compared to my Campus 14G lug sole boots, but they've held up really well. Overall, I'm happy I kept them.

Very nice boot. Slim looking, beautiful leather, and a comfortable heel height. A little taller than the equally lovely Melissa Button (which created a boot muffin top on me). Paige was muffin top-free.

The most beautiful boots ever. AT FIRST they will be close to impossible to get on and off... but this goes away after a few wears. Very comfortable. You might have a few blisters, too, for the first few wears, but it gets better. So worth it.

I love these boots. They're dark brown - almost to the point of black - and go with everything. I have huge calves - like literally nothing fits them - and these boots fit. It's kind of a miracle. I'm a 7 1/2 - 8 and I wish I had ordered the 7 1/2. They're a little big but fit well with a thick pair of socks.

I bought these in the cognac color after much hemming and hawing and I love them! I couldn't decide between these and the Melissa Buttons...might have to get the Melissas next. I've been wanting a pair of Frye boots for at least 5 years now, so finally went for it. I'm 5'6, have relatively short legs, and these hit just below the knee. I usually wear an 8 but got a 7 1/2 based on some of the recommendations and they're perfect. The leather is beautiful and the style is tough and sassy. They were incredibly hard to get on and off (took me a full 10 minutes at the end of the day) but I think they are loosening up already. Also, yes, I do have a couple of blisters. But considering the fact that I wore them for 10 hours (and the number of compliments I got) that is totally worth it.

I love these boots. Just be aware that the shaft circumference varies by size. One site says 14 3/4" on a size 6, Zappos says 16" on size 7, and my size 9's are a full 17". This is normally too big for me, but this style is so casual, I don't think it looks as bad as a 'too big' dress boot, if that makes sense. I wear a size 9 in everything, and these are a smidge loose, but I didn't go down a size due to no zipper on these boots.

I finally decided to buy these boots and I am so happy that I did. I was worried because I am short (5'3), but they come up just below my knee cap. They are the perfect height! I decided to ignore the comments about ordering down a half size. I am a size 8 and ordered a size 8 and they are perfect. I found that putting on thicker socks when I wear tights takes care of any heel slippage. I have thicker calves so I was worried they would be tight, but they are perfect. I have plenty of room for skinny jeans. I also had no problem getting them on and off. These are definitely my favorite boots and I have been wearing them constantly. I can't wait to order some other colors!

These were my first pair of Frye boots and I now have three because I love them so much! I can't go anywhere without someone complimenting me on them. Hard to get on for a few days, but if you slip your foot into a plastic bag with a hole for your toe and then pull the bag out when you have them on, it works like butter.

I like the idea of a more vertical bag so that it doesn't stick out so much across one's body. However, this bag's extra weight compared to similar brands is not worth it. The zipper is very hard to work--it's both stiff and too deeply set with unnecessary flaps of leather submerging it into the bag. Plus, longer/narrower is nice for looks but then the little sleeves for phone and accessories should be set higher up for access.
