Not the best arch support - This is the first pair of North Face shoes for me. I purchased this particular shoe because of reviews I read and was a little disappointed to discover (1) the shoe is fits smaller than I expected and (2) there is hardly any arch support. Otherwise, the shoe is very light weight and comfortable overall.

Great running shoe - I’m fairly new to running, but after about a year of it being a regular routine I needed a new shoe. This one, after much research, proved to be great. It’s stylish, comfortable, and supportive. I highly recommend it. The fit took some getting used to, but only because my previous shoes were made so different.

Great shoe! This shoe has great support, but doesn't make your foot like a block! This is a very lightweight shoe! It really is my favorite... I have it in 2 colors and my 15 year old daughter has it in 2 other colors!

don't end up at the foot dr! Stay away from this sandal if you have a narrow foot.! They're great looking but a real problem for someone with a less than wide foot. I wore this sandal almost daily last summer and I ended up with some serious foot problems. I acutally visited a podiatrist for the first time in my life! I suggest the Elka for someone with a less than narrow foot. Not as stylish but definately comfortable.

Sleek, stylish comfort -better than Birkis! I *adore* these sandals. I bought my pair almost four years ago when I was looking for a sandal that would be comfortable enough for all the walking I do, but designed with a bit more flair than the stereotypical clunky, strappy Birkenstocks. The black patent Helens were calling to me...and I haven't regretted the purchase. Super-comfortable, great arch support, and the style and color dress up and down, looking just as great with shorts and t-shirts as they do with floaty summer dresses. I'm still happily wearing them years later, and the uppers still look great and the soles are in surprisingly good shape for all the walking they've done. Even a teething pit bull puppy chewing through one of the straps couldn't keep them down -- the nice folks at the shoe repair shop stitched the chewed ends back together, almost as good as new. These aren't cheap, but with a little care, you'll be able to get years of comfortable, good-looking service out of them...just don't leave them out around teething pups! ;)

Don't Leave Home without These shoes! I purchased my first pair of Helen in 97 and just bought another pair. They are the best sandals. I also own a pair of Birks and hardly wear them now, these are much better and much more comfortable. When I want a comfortable pair of shoes, these are the ones I pack, these shoes have been with me in South America, Europe, Asia and back home again, as I said "Never leave home without them!"
