Portland MaryJane Keen - I was excited to get this shoe. I have five pair of Keens and love them. However, I was disappointed with the fit. It is comfortable but does not provide the arch support I was expecting.

Awesome shoes - Love, love, love these! They are so comfy! I had an accident recently and they are the only shoes that feel good on my poor foot.

Keens Portland Mary Jane - These shoes are adorable, light, and as comfortable as slippers. Looking forward to warmer weather so I can wear them without socks!

Easy and styling, too - I love the lowbacks easy-on-easy-off without losing any of the tremendous stability Keen always gives you. It's my favorite everyday shoe and doesn't show wear at all. These are tough, pretty shoes - great fit and accepts my orthotics like part of the shoe.

Happy Feet!!!!! These shoes are the best!!! Not only are they cute but they are super comfortable. Plenty of room for my arch supports and I don't look like I am wearing orthopedic shoes!! What more can a girl ask for?!!! Size up though because like most Keen shoes they run a little small.

Could be a better fit for the price. The shoe looks nice and feels great if I'm standing...but once I start walking, the back edge creeps up and rides under my heel. I've tried tightening the strap but it doesn't help. I think the "low back" should have been either lower or higher. For the price, I expected more.

Good Comfortable Shoes - These shoes are quite comfortable. To me, they are like wearing a pair of slippers.

Comfy and secure - I like the look and the fit of this shoe. The little lip along the edge means that I can put in a heal cushion and it won't fall out. I wish the shoe had a little more height in the back (Like the Keen Saratoga II) but it's still ok. My only complaint is that the shoe gets smelly when I wear it without socks, which is most of the time. But I'd like another pair in another color!

A very comfortable shoe in spite of my problem left foot. I bought a size 9 instead of the usual 8 1/2 and could easily use an orthotics. I enjoy the easy on and off, feels like a slipper, but gives good support for all around use.

I was very pleased with the purchase overall. I have a similar pair of another brand and I can really tell the difference between the two. These Frye boots definitely seem superior in many ways: fit, workmanship, comfort, and quality of leather. When it comes to boots like these, good-old American brand is the way to go. I recommend these boots 100-percent and Zappos, especially. Great service from Zappos.com and very professional when it came to price protection and fast delivery.

Very cool pair of boots! I bought my first pair of these boots in black and loved them so much I ordered a 2nd pair in brown (Gaucho). They are comfortable, very hip, masculine, and someone always tells me how cool they are. They look especially good with jeans, but I've also worn them with army fatigues and cargo pants. Great boots.

Gift for my Husband - He loved these boots as soon as he opened the box. They are a little uncomfortable, but need to be worked in. Otherwise a great purchase. I have them so know that within weeks they were become a staple in his wardrobe.

Cool Boot, Great Service - These are great looking, comfortable, American made boots with much better quality and fit than certain brands made elsewhere that I have tried. The "gaucho" color is a very dark brown. Do as others advise and order a half size down from your usual size. Mine felt comfortable right out of the box, which arrived on the doorstep just two days after my order thanks to a Surprise free delivery upgrade. Great experience all around.

Anonymous from Cleveland - Very nice boots. Ordered them at 4:00 ET and received them the next morning. I'm between sizes and went for the smaller size; is recommended. Fit great (a little tight in the arch but mine are very high, I'm sure they will stretch to fit). Very happy with the boots and Zappos.

Good looking pair of boots - These boots are beautiful. Unfortunately, I wasn't used to the hard sole - I felt like every step I took was giving me a concussion.

Frye Engineer 8 R - Initial impression and first day's wear are positive. Fit is good - toe box is roomy. Leather is thick and on the stiff side - should soften with wear and conditioning. These are unlined, so expect your tube socks to come out of the boot slightly stained. Sole is stiff - comparable to a work boot. OK traction on snow and ice. Insole padding and support are good - better than most boots. Boots are surprisingly light. These look very rugged and stylish. Gaucho color is a deep brown with light/dark variation. I have to undo the buckle and strap to get the boots on. Not a big deal - some type of a hidden quick release combined with the buckle would be a cool improvement. They will get a treatment of Huberd's tonight. Bottom line so far - a very good boot.

Cool boots - I tried a number of Fry boots on, and this it the pair that fits the best. I have a high instep, so I couldn't even get in the other ones. This one is better, and now it slips on easier. I am a lineman (power lines, not football) and the boots rugged style suits me great. The footbad is not very padded, but that doesn't bother me, it's fine with a thicker pair of socks. And my wife finds them "hot", so all the better.

Frye Engineer 8R Gaucho - Overall this is a solid boot, classic engineer. They look excellent and have a sturdy construction. They are comfortable enough to wear every day after a little breaking in. They are a little heavy but that is expected of a work style boot. The shaft is a little too large to fit slimmer jeans over compared to a zip up or a chelsea boot but that may or may not apply to you.
