Somewhat uncomfortable - I have another pair of Mephisto clogs that I have worn for many years. I needed to replace them, and I thought these would work. However, they are uncomfortable and I am returning them. I don't believe they have the cork foot bed that I am used to, and they seemed stiff and uncomfortable.

Comfortable - Very comfortable. I tried the kind without the heel strap but I guess I am just too lazy to have to "grip" with my toes when I walk. These look very nice, feel good and stay on without added effort even on my problem (PF) feet. I normally wear a size 8M dress shoe but as always with Mephisto I move up to a 9M and they fit perfectly.

I purchased these with excitement - the look of a clog but the added benefit of the heel strap so I wouldn't have to grip the shoe with my toes to keep them on. The problem is the heel strap, which will not stay unless you tighten it so much that it becomes uncomfortable. I will be returning these for another style. I think Mephisto still makes great shoes!

The strap on this shoe will not stay around your ankle. It slips down to the bottom of the foot, no matter what hole you buckle the strap through. I resorted to flipping the strap over to the front of the shoe just so I could wear it. Looks stupid. It's got to be a design flaw.

Wow! I threw out all my old shoes and I'm living in these Gamas! I have pronation which has caused chondromalacia (terrible knee pain) over the last two years. Now I can only wear shoes with a higher arch support. My knee pain is gone because of these shoes and other Mephistos I have. Can I rate it 10 stars?! What would I do without you Zappos?! I can order shoes at night and they're at my door in the morning! I love your company!

Excellent soft-soled mocassin - Great fit, comfortable, looks terrific. If you want a moose hide moc, I recommend this one.

Comfy, well made - I wish they came in wide sizes, but these mocs seem accurately sized and are quite comfortable. The leather on the inside is soft, with no rough seams, so they are very comfortable without socks, if that's your pleasure. As an aside, I found the customer service of Zappos to be fantastic!

Great slippers - This is the second time I have bought this slipper. I find the comfort and ability to slip on bare feet is great. Will never buy another slipper. I am even giving them for Christmas presents.
