Love the style and look of this boot, but a black 42 is unavailable and the 41 does not fit my 9.5M feet well. Even with thin socks
, it's tight across my (high) arches and around my (skinny) ankles and I could barely close the zipper at the top of my 15" calves. Plenty of room in the toe box and the length is fine, though. For comparison: I have narrow heels and "low volume" feet (i.e., they are thin, or not tall). By the way, the fuzzy lining does cover the top of the foot as well as the leg; maybe Rieker
responded to complaints. The boots
are hot while I'm trying them on in my 78 degree house. I've never had lined boots
like this before and am wondering whether the lining will prevent the boots
from stretching as the leather normally would, and whether they will be too hot to wear indoors even in the winter. I'm thinking of keeping them with the idea that they will stretch a little. My Born boots
that fit great initially have stretched so much that my feet move around too much in them even with thick socks
. How's a gal supposed to know how the boot will fit after wearing it a few weeks? My crystal ball is not working.
