Chaco's are wonderful. This is my third pair. My first pair of
Chaco Zong EcoTread lasted 4 years. When you wear them as your main
sandal in the summer, as I do, you get what I call the honorable mark of Zorro, cause of the z pattern the straps make. I always feel rather proud of my Z. I know it's silly, but I do. I particularly like the open back
Chaco's opposed to the closed ones. When I go
hiking I wear my closed back ones, but for everyday use, I really like being able to slip in and out of these. The toe strap is really great to have, especially for
hiking, and I have found that in the winter I can tighten the toe strap down flat and wear wool
socks with them. Though I do usually wear my
Chaco's with the heel strap in the winter, they work better with
socks. What I like most about
Chaco's is that they really support my body well. I have a lot of low back issues and sensitive feet and these have been a life saver for me. I love them and will never be without a pair.
