I've had these boots for about a month now and worn them walking in over 3 feet of snow with sub-zero temperatures and they have been excellent. I've only worn normal sport socks and my feet have never gotten cold. I suggest you get a half size larger if you like to wear thicker socks as these boots fit like a normal tennis shoe with no extra room for thick socks.

Boots fit great; got a half size larger to accommodate thick socks if needed. The boots seem very rugged, and I look forward to testing them out. I bought these boots for my husband and he absolutely loves them! He was not excited with the fur showing around the top at first, but after trying them out, said they are very comfortable and he hasn't felt a bit of water. He doesn't mind the fur now because it makes them nice and warm, and it doesn't show with his pants over his boots anyway.

These boots are great. I ordered them on Dec. 23 and they came on Dec. 24. The thinsulate technology keeps your feet warmer than I had expected. I brought them out with me on a camping trip that got into the single digits and my toes didn’t even come close to being cold. In my opinion, making them water proof was unnecessary, but appreciated. Since the boots are rated to -40f, I don’t think that water is an issue. Also, the boots are lightweight, making them good for backpack in the winter. I honestly can’t think of anything bad to say about the Mcmurdo boots. I recommend them to anyone who plans on camping or hiking in cold weather.

Awesome boots, wore them in Alaska last week in 10 degree weather and feet never got cold. Can\'t wait to wear them again on my future trips to Alaska in below zero temperatures. Bought a 1/2 size up and they fit great. Versatile and stylish to wear outdoors as well as a pair of slacks in the office.
