I had my first pair of Doc's when I was 13, they were not really worn by women then, but within a year or two had become really popular. They were really cheap about £20. These
boots went with me everywhere, when they became a bit tatty they were painted. They lasted me 7 years, that is 7 years of being worn every day!!!
My 2nd pair lasted a little longer 10yrs, but I wasn't riding a motorcycle in these, so weren't dragged along the floor!! When this 2nd pair finally gave up the ghost I decided to go for something different, I bought a pair of CAT
boots. They are not the same; I do not have the kind of relationship with these
boots as I did my Docs. I am now looking for another pair of docs but the prices in the UK are very high, although when you think about the amount of time they last I suppose it is worth it but as a student it is a little beyond my budget!! That’s why I am now looking at Zappos.com, the prices are a lot cheaper than here in the UK and hopefully when I have saved up enough money the service that zappos.com offer will be as welcoming as their prices!!
