Bought this shoe for a trip to Europe. Wanted something stylish, but comfy to wear with
skirts and capris. These are definitely cute and definitely comfy, but the elastic laces were almost a deal breaker. They were way too tight, and I even bought a wide. Left deep
red marks on my feet after wearing them for just a short time. I really love the shoes, so I decided to cut the elastic from the back (it is anchored there) and tie it looser at the back-most loop. Now we're talking! The backs took a little while to break in (normal for me, they rubbed at the top of my heel), but after that, I love them!

These shoes are adorable! I really want them to work, and I'm working on breaking them in, but my
heels are suffering as are my pinky toes. Too early to tell if it will be a loss, but I'm not giving up because I love them too much. Yes, the straps on the top of the foot are tight too but with a little stretching they'll be comfortable soon enough. I've added
insoles to provide some extra
arch support. We'll see how it goes.

The shoe is cute, however, take heed of the warnings written in the reviews. I have a narrow foot and so I thought that although many complained about the straps cutting into their feet, I would be okay. While high on looks, the straps cut in and one shoe felt narrow. After stretching out the straps they are getting more comfortable, but I wouldn\\\'t buy again and returned two pairs because they just don\\\'t fit and feel like my other
clarks.

I bought these shoes and they fit great (true to normal size). I love the extra padding that
Privo shoes have at the heel and love the extra cushion on the
insoles. I just wish the elastic was looser. These are such comfortable shoes, but the elastic cuts into my feet. My feet are normal but narrow and the elastic leaves markings on my skin. I've tried stretching them out, but it held its elasticity. Too bad, because everything else about them are great. Another reviewer mentioned ordering the wide to avoid the elastic problem, but then my foot would be too small in the shoe.

I love
Privo shoes and considered buying these shoes. Now, after reading the reviews, I probably won't. I have a suggestion, though, for those of you who have already bought them. Why couldn't you cut off the tight, offending strings and replace them with good quality soft ribbons?

Perfect fit but elastic on top is definitely a NO -
I tried on these at a store so I tried all the size options that might fit me 7.5M, 7.5W, 8M, 8W and to my surprise the 8M (which is what size my foot measures to be in US sizes) fit best. The bottom fits perfectly and is very comfortable. There could have been a bit more arch for me but its better a little less than too much. I tried to buy the pair with the most stretched out strings and I tried to stretch them out more with putting objects in the shoe overnight. But the elastic is too resilient. I assume this is a good thing for the shoe to last but not a good thing because they cut into my foot. I am considering cutting it off but it will look funny with those loops, I wish they'd just left the elastic and loops out of the picture. I'm not sure I can return them to the retail store I purchased them from now that I've worn them outside for about 5 minutes and the pavement made the rubber bottom look dull/used. If I can I may get the Kosmo style instead since it has no elastic.

I got these shoes after a week+ of solid rainy days this summer. It was too hot to wear those big rubber
boots, but too cold for
sandals in the chilly rain. So...I got these. I typically take a 9, but the 8.5 fit best, so I got that. Love the shoe. Love the rubbery tread and the solid construction. Don't love the marks the elastic cord leaves on my feet. I took them off nearly an hour ago after wearing them this morning and I still have deep
red stripes on my feet. Scary deep
red gauges where the elastic cords were. I was happy to read about how others have customized their Lucas. It's too late for me to return these, so I will be trying to customize mine. I trusted
Clarks Privo to put together a good shoe and paid a lot for mine. I wish that they did a better job with these.

On its face, this is an attractive shoe for its class of active shoes. However, after wearing just a short while, the bands provide too much tension which cause them to leave indentations on the upper part of the foot. I do not have wide feet nor do I suffer from swollen feet, yet this shoe is not comfortable to wear more than a couple of hours let alone walk long distances in. The insole cushioning could be better also. Wished I bought the
J 41 instead. Too bad.

I SOO wanted to love these shoes. Even after reading the reviews, I decided to buy these (I have narrow feet, and thought they might not be too tight). Bad decision, unfortunately. The elastic laces are just way too tight for any normal foot. I like the idea of the reviewer that replaced the laces though - I might try that. All in all, too much money paid for a shoe that you have to fix! Bummer.

I love Privos. The
arch support and the comfortable cloth-like texture of the foot-bed is great. These particular ones, however, presented a problem to me regarding the elasticized cording that laces across the top. It was so tight (and I have a narrow, thin foot!) that it dug
wedges into the skin on the top of my foot. Ouch. I finally solved this problem by clipping the lace and removing it altogether. What a relief that was. I went to the sewing notions store and bought a black polka-dot ribbon and threaded it through the lace holes. Now, it is comfortable as can be. And customized, too.

The style is versatile and cute, especially compared to similar office-friendly
dress sneakers. Unfortunately these shoes were anything but comfortable even after three weeks. The insole is thick, and the bungee cord straps were tight on my 8W feet. It wasn't worth it to try replacing the insole. The inside material was abrasive even through sports
socks. I assumed that these shoes would be comfortable for 30 minute walks, but they weren't. I have bought regular
Clarks shoes before that were pretty comfortable, so the
Privo Luca's were a major disappointment.

I first ordered this shoe in the regular width. They were very snug and pinched my toes, and the stretchy cord left marks on my feet after trying them on. I returned them and got the wide width and they have been great! Very comfortable - I didn't even have to 'break them in', no rubbing.

What is with the little thin, cord-like straps?
Foot surgery - replacing open toe shoes with closed one - Zappos a great help! Ordered a 6 1/2 too big - room for my thumb in the heel area - easy exchange with Zappos. Size 6 was perfect. But those darn cord type straps -- too tight (I have a small foot - not fat!) So I stretched the straps (knowing I could cut them if necessary, as another buyer did). Hey, stretching them worked - now these little cuties are my favorites. Because I teach and stand/walk all day long, comfortable shoes are important to me - a must! These go with crops,
jeans,
skirts, and casual
dresses - perfect for summer. Thanks Zappos - I'm a proud Zappos VIP.

Based on customer reviews I bought these shoes a 1/2 size smaller than I usually wear, and they fit...BUT the elastic straps dug so deep into my feet I couldn't wear them for more than 5 minutes. OUCH! Too tight!!!! I have wide feet so I ordered the D width size thinking that I had finally found a decent-looking pair of
wide shoes and I was so disappointed! I've tried two different pairs of Privos now and would definitely NOT recommend strappy styles for wide width feet in this brand. They've got the width correct on the actual shoe, but definitely NOT on the straps.

Cute shoes, great for narrow feet -
This shoe is perfect for my narrow feet. The length feels true to size, and they stay on my feet without slipping at the heel. I have worn them without
socks for three days in a row, and I haven't had any trouble with the elastic straps like some other reviewers. After several hours of wear, it does leave a mark on the top of my foot, but it is not painful. Perhaps this is because my foot is narrow and I have a lower arch. I do wish there was more
arch support - my feet want to lean to the inside when I wear these. I could probably fix that with a simple arch insert, but it hasn't caused me pain, so I haven't bothered. Overall, I really like these shoes. Cute, comfortable, and practical.
