Comfortable and long lasting - These are great if you need some stretch to your clothes (like for yoga or other physical work) and the new deeper pockets are a big plus over the older version.

Overall, very satisfied with my Sutra Pants. The material is not soft, but not scratchy either. Feels very lightweight and breathes well. Also seems well constructed. My only complaint would be the fit; I know they are supposed to fit loose/baggy but they are excessively so. I ordered my normal size Medium (I am 6' 11" and slender) and had inches around my waist and hems drag the floor.

I love these pants. I immediately ordered a second pair in another color. They are comfortable to lounge in, are great for yoga, and have ample room in the crotch for all poses. They are comfortable during sweaty Bikram and have cuffs that stay rolled during practice (if each roll is creased). I wish they were cheaper, so I could buy more.

These are the best pants I have ever owned. Do not hesitate to get yourself or loved ones a pair. They are so comfortable and still look so good that I have bought them in many colors and exclusively wear them now. I've had many pants but these work for almost anything and need very little maintenance. The seller was prompt and I appreciate that also. The ultimate in comfort and versatility. I love them for coding a home or school, yoga, martial arts, bouldering and the list goes on. I only wish there were more colors.

A little pricey, but these pants are well worth it. They have a very natural, woven-looking texture, and they stretch and move with you beautifully. I use them for yoga and as lounge pants. They're probably my favorite piece of clothing. As great as they are, be careful with the sizing. I'm 5'9, 165 pounds with an athletic(ish) build, and the small is what fit. Even that is plenty roomy, and any bigger would be too big for me.

My husband loves these pants so much that he made me order him another pair in the same color. He wears them lounging around the house, doing yoga and also when we go out to beachy/ casual dinners/lunches. Because of others comments, I ordered him a small even though he usually wears a medium. The small is right-on! He's 5-10, 175 lbs.

Prana has drastically altered the design of their Sutra Pant, and not for the better. I bought my first pair in 2006 and my second in 2009, so I was able to directly compare this new Sutra Pant (purchased in 2012) with the old. First of all, they've reduced the size of the inseam gusset by more than half. The inseam gusset is extremely small now. Why would they do this? The inseam gusset is what allows freedom of movement in martial arts and yoga pants. This doesn't make any sense. They've also made the legs skinnier, by almost two inches. Even the pockets are smaller now. Why would they make the pockets smaller? Looking at the pants, it's perfectly clear what's behind all these changes: fashion. They're trying to make the pants look better. And in that they've succeeded. The pants do look really good. And if all you're planning to do in these pants is casually stroll around the harbor or drink cocktails or whatever, then no problem. But I use these pants for yoga and dancing, at a high level, and require extreme freedom of movement. And I'm sorry to say these pants no longer meet my requirements. They feel tight and constrictive -- it felt awkward just doing a squat in them. "A karate pant from the future?" That claim was a bit dubious to begin with, but now it's just laughable. Prana has sacrificed function for form, and they've lost a customer.
