These really well made shorts are worth the price. The cotton is thick but with a light blend of sweat resistant polyester. To give it a cool feel perfect length for my 5'6 frame just above the knee. Lots of pockets. They seem to run a bit big, but I haven't washed them yet to see if they shrink, but maybe they aren't intended to be tight fitting. More of a loose style will be good for hiking. Love them even with the high price tag; I bought both colors.

There is a lot of stretch in these. Stretched at least a full size after wearing them for a few hours.
