Pour La Victoire Reviews
This shoe runs so small! I'm an 8 and with the 8.5 in the Bre my toes were smooshed and curled under. I love the small heel o this so I'm considering trying the 9, but given how jammed my foot was in the 8.5 I'm not even sure the 9 would give me enough space.
These are comfortable and cute, but they are a little too young for this late 40s shopper. Also, for the price, it seems that I could find something comparable for much less.
The strap fit strangely and hurt to walk but my toes were also not fitting so perhaps that was because it was smaller than marked.
I can wear an 8½ in sandals, but I am a 9 in designer shoes. I read other reviews that mentioned the short toebox and heel slippage. I did not mind the short toebox, but my heels were definitely slipping out of the 9s; so I am going to order 8½ and check them out. They are very high, but seem tolerable to walk in. Besides that, they are super sexy and nice looking. I also got the matte black with the patent, and I much prefer the patent. The patent just has an overall nicer look and is dressier and seems more versatile.
I have thin ankles and the ankle strop on these sandals did not fit me.
Amazing! Perfect fit, comfortable! True to size. Love this designer!
I've had these shoes about a month and have worn them 3 times. Very classy shoe, good quality and goes with almost everything. As with most of the designer shoes now, the toe box is really snug. I am a size 6M and the shoe is a perfect fit lengthwise. Going up a half size will not help. The shoes are made of quality leather so they are just beginning to feel comfortable. Overall, beautiful shoe and worth the money.
I absolutely love these shoes. One of my best purchases ever. They are so well made, comfortable and look great with work attire, jeans, everything! I plan to buy another pair.
This shoe is cute, nice color, but it runs very small in both length and width. Tight across the toes and uncomfortable.
Love this pair. I normally can't wear platform shoes or any heel over 3.5 inches, but this pair is so comfortable and so stylish, that I bough multiple pairs in different colors. Definitely recommend it.
I have narrow feet, and am a religious size 8.5 in every flat, heel and boot that I own. I ordered this shoe in an 8.5, and the fit was wrong, all over. My toes were smushed into the ends, and the sides were uncomfortably tight. Not to mention that they were very stiff. I ended up ordering the Cole Haan flat that is the same style as this shoe. For a pricey flat, I expected a great fit and soft leather. Sadly, these shoes just did not live up to my expectations. I'm so thankful for Zappos quick delivery and return process - makes buyer's remorse a thing of the past!
Such a shame to have to return this super cute pair. I had a difficult time zipping and unzipping the shoes. It may get smoother over time. But, still.
The sizing of these shoes is so frustrating. I got the Patent Camel in 7.5 and walk out of them (though the toe box is super tiny). Zappos is out of the 7, so I needed to find them somewhere else. I did, and I still walk out of them, but the toe box is painfully small. I later ordered the black suede in a 7.5 (7 wasn't available), and those, I can barely get my feet into! But once I finally do, my heels still nearly slip out. It's the toe box that is the main problem for me. I love the shape and the quality of the shoes, but the sizing is so crazy.
They are such beautiful shoes but, similar to another reviewer, the heel really is like 5" - a little football for me. And even I can't ignore the cutting into the side of my foot (bunion!).
Word of advice; if you are looking at the Kelsi Dagger Linzy heels as a replacement for the Irina - don't! I have the Irina in red suede and I love them. So beautiful and comfortable! I wanted to have them in black but didn't want to spend the money for them. When I saw that the Linzy looked the same (they are identical next to each other) I thought I would go the cheap route. They were the most painful shoes ever! I run in heels but for some reason, I can barely walk in these and they chewed my poor feet up. So I've learned my lesson - I just ordered the black patent Irina and can't wait to get them!
More attractive in the picture than in person. Front of shoe appears much bulkier in person. Very uncomfortable, limited arch support. I'd recommend the Elie Tahari shoe that is similar to this.
Incredibly hot looking pump! Made my legs look so long but I had to return it because it was too tight in the toe box area for me. Apart from that, you really don't feel the height at all in the heel due to the platform.
I purchased the Black Suede version of these pumps and love them. They took a little longer than most shoes to break in (approx. 6 wears) but now are very comfortable. The heel placement is perfect for wearing these shoes for extended periods that include standing and walking--given that you're comfortable wearing this heel height normally. The platformed toe is perfection and makes it easy to wear these from day-to-night.
I originally bought these as back up shoes for my wedding. I already own these same shoes in black patent and now am in love with the soft camel color as well. It seems like a ritual with this shoe that the first pair never quite fits (literally stepped out of them). The second pair (which arrived on a Saturday -- thank you Zappos!) fit perfect...ie snug in length and in the toe box. As you walk, dance whatever - these shoes will stretch! Bonus that they were on sale. I am so happy with these shoes, they may have moved from runner up!
I'm pretty well versed in walking in sky high pumps, but something about the angle on these... I can't do it. I can walk, but ya know how some gals walk around like they're really working to walking in their shoes? Yeah, that's not the look I'm going for. I want effortless fab. :) I hate it, but these are going back.
