Pure awesomeness... I'm rocking these babies in Afghanistan right now,and I must say, even with gravel and moon dust everywhere...they, come out flawlessly... Also, the fact, I have 7 pairs of the center hi's back home... PF's are the only shoe I wear... told the girlfriend, getting married in a pair...

Great light hiking shoes. These were originally designed for baseball, supposedly, but the rugged tread and light flexible build makes them great as a general outdoor shoe. They have the retro look of Converse, but that's a court shoe and this product is designed for outdoors. There's also a green leather version (which I purchased elsewhere) if you want more water protection than canvas. Makes a cool and distinctive alternative to Keen hiking boots, if you like the rubber toe look. These do run a little tight, though, like Nike products, probably for the same reason (preventing foot sliding within the shoe during sports use). For casual and hiking use, I'd go a half size up.
I'd also recommend: Keen

The best of all sneakers in the '60s due to the Posture Formation sole and still among the best of athletic shoes now even in the face of the fancy overboard track shoe craze.

Wow, when I say these things are amazing I mean it. They are so great for hiking, casual walking and everything else at the end of the day you forget they are even on. And a second thing is about Zappos itself, that sandwich place says they are freaky fast but they ain't got nothing on Zappos. I had my order one time from here at my house within 16 hours. : )

Nirvana...I have thrown away all my Chucks and now have a selection of 5 styles of PFs. Happy, Happy feet. I have found the fit and comfort carries through the entire line of shoes. True to size and width. I find it hard to find kicks that feel good out of the box. I did not hesitate to put on a new pair and walk around an art show for 5 hours...no problem, and they look good! I have rediscovered my favorite shoe from the 60's. Do not hesitate to try them.
