These shoes are great! I was having trouble with Vans and Chucks because they have such thin soles. These have more cushion than those and I can wear them longer and more often. Plus not everyone and their Mom are rocking them.

Great looking shoe, but quite narrow, and no arch support. Best for someone with a narrow foot. Jack Purcell's are similar in style and better for a wider foot.

Such awesome shoes. I was in the market for a new pair of grey low-top sneakers when I came across PF Flyers. Though they were a little more expensive than Converse, I gave them a shot due to the great reviews. These are definitely worth the extra money! The construction is fantastic, and they are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned. They're built to correct your posture, which sounds so nerdy until you realize that they're extremely cute as well as functional. They fit perfectly...not too wide or narrow; the length is perfect for me, though they may be a tiny bit longer than normal. You might want to try a half size smaller if you're between sizes. I'm very pleased!

Very good sneakers, very well built. There is a small amount of arch support in addition to built-in "rigid wedges" that shift the body weight to the outside of the foot. The patented Gullwing Closure actually works to adjust heel tension. One bad thing: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE LACES or these shoes will bite you! I overtightened the right one, and within 15 minutes the outside of my right foot was painfully cramped and felt like it was on fire. I quickly loosened the laces slightly and all was fine afterward, and I could then easily complete a nice hour-long break-in walk around my hometown and felt fine afterward. You want them snug enough so they don’t slip, but not too tight. Experiment with them, especially if you’ve never worn sneakers and are used to modern running shoes, cross-trainers, hikers, etc. I wouldn’t do a hardcore, pack-carrying 20-mile hike in them, of course, but these are good exercise shoes for a nice walk about town. You should be able to wear these comfortably all day, especially after they wear in a bit. Also: DO get them a half-size bigger than you normally wear; they do run small. I wear Nikes at U.S. Mens Size 10.5, and the Size 11 Cousy Los fit me perfectly.

Reclassification of the Sneaker

Gem of the original American sneaker brands, PF has furthered the union of classic sport and modern fashion for over 70 years. In forward styles and archival reissues, the PF heritage endures in clean-lined design, premium materials and tailored quality.

Patented in 1933, Posture Foundation insole technology set a new standard in sneaker comfort. Its success grew and in 1937 became the basis for the brand name “PF Flyers.” PF elevated the fashion possibilities of the sneaker, in athletics as well as oxfords, boots and heels. Sport styles by PF were icons of the 1950s, renowned for helping you “Run Faster and Jump Higher.” In the first collaboration between a sneaker company and pro player, PF and basketball legend Bob Cousy created a string of classic court designs.

From fashionable court high tops to timeless deck styles, PF has established some of the most influential directions in sneaker design. Crafted in fine leathers and best-in-class textiles for men and women, find style and exceptional comfort from PF on Zappos.com.

Without a doubt, this is the best shoe I’ve owned in my life. I bought these mostly because the first-eyelet wings really appealed to me and made it seem like the shoe was really easy to put on. The first thing you’ll notice is the amazing comfort these offer. It’s well worth the extra money. My only gripe would be that they’re pretty difficult to clean.

Converse, only better! My feet are just a little too wide for All Stars and Jack Purcell's a fact that has long frustrated me as I love the classic style of those shoes. I've been looking for a substitute for ages. I bought these PF Flyers on a wish and a prayer —and a half size larger than I would normally, and they are PERFECT. Not only that, the detail, stitching and overall quality of manufacture of these shoes are significantly *superior* to the current batches of Converse. They don't have a lot of arch support, but there aren't completely flat inside, either, so they totally meet my comfort criteria for office work and walks to lunch.

Love 'em - Love the shoes. They're comfortable enough and better than I had expected. I'm able to work a 10 hrs day on my feet in them, so while they may not be my most comfortable shoes, they work great. Love the look. They go with everything.

These are awesome. I really like these. Got them in olive. After I broke in the footbed these got pretty comfortable. The look and construction are both top notch. I've never owned a pair of pf's before and these are now a staple.
