I bought these for my 18 year old son and surprised him at Christmas with these. He was overjoyed and really loves them. They seem to run a bit bigger than his usual running style sneakers, so we ended up going down half a size. He says there is not as much cushioning as running shoes, as you would expect, but still very comfortable. They look great with jeans.

Nice looking shoe and the insole is more comfortable than I expected. Very cool shoe that breathes well. The pair I got fit more snugly than normal, and I had to exchange for a larger size (contrary to the advice from other reviews whose advice was to order smaller than usual.) Return process was insanely easy, well done Zappos.

Love these! They run about a half size big. (Bought 14's, needed 13's) Also there is more material on the top of the shoe (than Chuck Taylors) so I had to put some Dr. Scholls in there so the laces weren't as tight as they could be. But now they fit great. I have flat feet and these offer much more support than Chucks. Highly recommend, will always be in style.

These are rad. People assume they are Chucks, but you know better. It's up to you whether or not to let them know. These are a slightly dressed-down kind of Chuck Taylor canvas, and I mean that in a good way. Chucks are cool; these are cool. They look pretty similar so they fit the same fashions, but everything is just a bit different on the Cousy. It's all in the details. The little differences make all the difference. There seemed to be some toe room; I'm not sure if that's a feature of the Cousy, but I like it. The gullwing closure is also a nice feature. It feels like it wraps the ankle instead of feeling tight on the top of your foot. The back of the shoe kind of pulls back so these are nice and easy to get in and out of, where other hi-tops may have you pull on the laces quite a bit to squeeze in. The only reason I'm rating it with 4 stars is because I do it on a scale where 3 of 5 would be average and 5 of 5 would be 100% perfect, so 4 of 5 for me means very good.

I bought these shoes for my daughter who is a big fan of Sandlot. She loved them! They fit well, and they are very high school cool.

I really felt like Benny "the jet" when I first stepped into these shoes. The arch support is great and they are very comfy for everyday wear. Anyone who complains about Converse should switch to PF Flyers; they really are not the same shoe. They have so much more support and comfort.

I received these selected shoes in like fast as can be! I was pleasantly surprised by the free shipping; Zappos knows how to reward their customers (smiles)! Okay, the shoes were just as expected thanks to all the views available on the site! It seems the color choice availability was a little limited, thus a very popular style! But I was pleased with mine! The shoe fit well, although some extra sole support is needed! Dr Scholls will help solve that! Now work on getting in those Reeboks I wanted and I'll place my next order! Shoes are funky-hip-and liked by me! Thanks again Zappos!

These are great shoes. An avid PF Flyer buyer. But the shin on the sides and overall of this shoe will crack at the bend of your toes. So make these your "night out" shoes, not your everyday shoes.

The famous posture foundation "wedge" was invented in the 1940s and at this date in time makes no orthotic sense. As a matter of fact I think the shoe is not only orthotically incorrect and bad for posture, but I found them horribly uncomfortable. Possibly they need breaking in, but honestly I haven't had to break-in a pair of athletic shoes in 30 years. I wore them a few days and could not wait to get them off my feet at the end of the day. My Converse All-Stars I can wear all day and at the end of a day fall asleep on the couch with them on. Converse All Stars have no arch support, it's like tying a flat piece of rubber to the bottom of your foot, but that's what I like about them, I like to walk and run barefoot (actually about 6 miles) and the Converse are great for that if you are a minimalist when it comes to arch support. Read "Born to Run" by Chris McDougall or google him to learn about the science of running barefoot and the idea of minimal arch support. I will say the PF Flyers are very attractive and got good comments about them every time I wore them (about three days and then I had to put them in storage, i.e. the garbage can).

Love these sneaks. I needed some everyday shoes that were both cute and functional; these are incredibly comfortable with lots of support. More so than Converse I would say, plus they are a little funky and different from the usual. Highly recommended.

I have worn these shoes four times and received no less than ten compliments. It is a great looking show and seams to be pretty sturdy with the extra action on the sole. The only weakness is they squeak a little when walking but nothing horrible. Overall, great purchase and wouldn't think twice about buying another pair.

This is a great looking shoe. My son loves these. After two weeks of wear, however, the shiny black coating began to peel and wear away. He doesn't care, but for the price this should not happen.

Very classy looking pair of tennis shoes. I had two surprises upon arrival. One, they are not exactly canvas (this is in regards to the ivory pair). They are more of a rough burlap-like material. Not bad. Just surprising. Secondly, unlike any other pair of Bob Cousy's I've seen, the white toe is not rubber, it's leather. This is good for those of us who struggle with these older narrower old-school shoes as the toe gives much more than a rubber one. For me, they fit true to size.

My 15 year old son was a Converse devotee. Once he realized these were available, he asked for them. He says they are warmer than Converse (good for those who don\'t like to wear boots) and that he runs better in them because of the increased support in the sole. They are also a little snugger around his foot than Converse, which he also likes. I got him size 10.5 because he was just getting to the end of a size 10, and the size seems very good for him with room to grow. We all think they really look great, also.

I've always wanted to wear Chucks or something similar, but my feet are too wide. Someone recommended PF Flyers to me, and I have been totally pleased by the purchase. The shoes are definitely wider than Chucks and the soles are much more comfortable. It's almost a shame that Chucks are so popular while PFs go virtually unheard of. Definitely worth the extra money. They fit true to size for me.

Better than Converse! I have been in favor of the Converse look for a while, but hate the way the shoe fits and its lack of comfort. Took me a while to find replacements for my last pair (Hurley's), but these are it! These are so comfortable (come with removable foam insert) and make my 11W feet look normal in pants and shorts. And come on, it's way cooler to wear shoes no one else has.

Has the looks but not the support. I ordered these shoes for my husband who has orthotic inserts. The shoe is very flimsy with not a lot of support. They look great on, but not worth the price!

Not good for walking long distances. While these shoes are very cool looking they are not terribly comfortable for walking long distances. I bought these for a recent trip to Europe, wanting something comfortable but stylish; however, they rubbed blisters on the sides of my foot (at the base of the big and pinky toes) and on my heels. They are also a little narrow. They are good for causal everyday wear as long as you don't walk long distances.

Purchased the PF Flyers for nostalgia, but when I received them it was more than I expected or remembered. Couldn't believe or remember how light they were. A very comfortable shoe and I really like how they look. As long as they make them I'll keep buying them. I can say that I've tamed that beast. "You're killing me Smalls" (The Sandlot).

These shoes are great. They feel true to size and are comfortable casual shoes. They are exactly what I was looking for. They aren't a cushy sneaker though. If you're looking for something with a lot of support and cushion, this isn't the right shoe for you. I think of them like flip flops for winter.

PF Flyers Reclassification of the Sneaker

Gem of the original American sneaker brands, PF has furthered the union of classic sport and modern fashion for over 70 years. In forward styles and archival reissues, the PF heritage endures in clean-lined design, premium materials and tailored quality.

Patented in 1933, Posture Foundation insole technology set a new standard in sneaker comfort. Its success grew and in 1937 became the basis for the brand name “PF Flyers.” PF elevated the fashion possibilities of the sneaker, in athletics as well as oxfords, boots and heels. Sport styles by PF were icons of the 1950s, renowned for helping you “Run Faster and Jump Higher.” In the first collaboration between a sneaker company and pro player, PF and basketball legend Bob Cousy created a string of classic court designs.
