Great head lamp with a crazy powerful beam. Just took it down to Big Bend NP in Texas and it made the desert floor light up like day time during night hikes. Comfortable strap, very easy to adjust. Turns out the strobe setting is great for dance raves in the back of a minivan as well.
Brands I'd also recommend: Marmot

I tried a similar product a few years ago and hated it but as a Professional Dog Walker and the shorter daylight, I decided to give this a try and I am absolutely delighted. It is nice and bright and light weight and now I can see where I'm going with my hands full of leashes. The strap is a nice width and soft, I almost forget I have it on. I totally recommend it!

This was a replacement of an older model. I had done my research and when I found it available from Zappos I immediately made the purchase. Unit works great and I also bought the "Core" rechargeable battery pack for it also from Zappos.

I asked for, and got a Petzl for my birthday last summer. It's great for after-dark runs and I started using it around the house when I needed 2 hands to work on a project and a light directly on something. The headband is infinitely adjustable and keeps the light in place very well while running. The beam is tall enough that you don't get the bouncing flashlight effect. I think it would do best with rechargeable batteries - as it does seem to go through them much more quickly than a conventional flashlight. My wife started "borrowing" my Petzl and taking it to the barn to care for her horse - so I got her one of her own for her birthday!
