Love it. I LOVE this sweater jacket. I am online now to buy another color. I suspect other reviewers are buying too big a size which is why they don't find it flattering. It is a very slimming style. I bought the xs and unlike other fleeces which can be baggy, it conforms to the body beautifully. I wear it all the time and it is comfortable yet anything but frumpy. I and now back am online at Zappos to buy another. (FYI. I am 5'5" and 112 pounds and wear xs).

I actually ordered this BECAUSE other reviewers said it was straight-sided: most "form fitting" jackets indent in the wrong place for me. What they failed to mention is that this "Better Sweater," while decidedly warm, is 1.) Very small, tight and short (and I ordered a size up,) and 2.) Has a style somehow reminiscent of a West Point Uniform Jacket.

This sweater is wonderful! I wear it as a coat, sweater, and sweatshirt. It is so comfortable, always the right weight. It easy to layer and washes perfectly! I’ve given it as gifts and everyone loves it!!! Must have!

Bought as a gift for wife. She seems to like it. Bought the natural color. Color is really gray it looks almost tan in the photos. Still looks good.

Bought this one, and it went back immediately. I love my other Patagonia pieces, and even the Better Sweater I got for The Man last season (and why I wanted this), but the garment is just not styled for me. The color (red?) was not red, and much more of a beety-pink, which I found unattractive. The big issue was the styling, however. I got a Medium, as I was on the line (6/8) and just looked like a tin can in the garment: straight up and down, no princess seams, no tapers, no nothing. That is not always a problem with me in my clothing, so I will point fingers at this garment. A real shame, the Better Sweater is a terrific weight, and would have been the perfect garment for our occasional cold days. Still searching for an alternative.

While I adore Patagonia products in general, I had to send the Better Sweater Jacket right back. The Garnet color was a bit too pinky for me, but I would have kept it (it was phenomenally warm and comfy!) if the styling had not been so awful. No princess seams on this garment, and with the long length, it was shapeless, and unflattering. I basically looked like a pink tin can: all one size, all the way down. It's too expensive to keep just to wear when no one else can see you. Incredibly disappointed, since the Better Sweater I had previously bought for The Man was very attractive, and didn't seem to have this issue at all.

Not sure what to think of this jacket. I like the material which is comparable to a lightweight sweater, but I don't like how it fits. The jacket is cut straight and the hem does not stretch which makes it ride up. If you have hips, this will most likely not fit.

I saw this in a store, but my size was sold out. I loved it enough to track down online. Very soft and a pretty color. It is a great lightweight sweater jacket in the spring/summer/fall and as a layer in winter. The sleeves are very long and is long in the torso, which is great when trying to keep out cold. My only advice to women who have muscles: the sleeves are narrow.
