This shoe is beautiful. One major problem: it is HUGE. I usually wear a size 12, and so ordered a size 12 online. It is way too big, in length and width. Very disappointing.

The break-in time on these shoes took a bit but once they did they feel pretty amazing on the feet. Very stylish too. I got the henna flavor and have received many compliments. I have to tie these shoes a bit tighter because my heel would move around too much.

Great shoes, I bought them in a 11.5 instead of a 12 because the reviews said that they run big, and so they fit quite well. They are very nice shoes overall.

I have to agree with the other reviews: It's sized a bit large. I normally wear a 12; decided to go with an 11.5 after trying both the 12 and the 11.5. So far no complaints with the smaller size. Also, it does take a while to break in but now they're good. So after all that I'm happy with the shoe, mostly because I think it looks good.

I'm usually a 9 1/2 or 10 on this one I will probably had been a 9 but I did not try it. This is a different Patagonia shoe, very stiff and your feet do not breath at all. Looks really nice though, compliments when they arrived and I showed them up to friends. Had to returned them, was not that happy.

About Patagonia
Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

I bought these shoes for my teenage son. They became his favorite shoes. They are absolutely weightless, yet sturdy. I bought them in real size and width, so the fit is perfect and predictable. And of course having them by the door next morning after ordering online is amazing. Thanks Zappos!

I like these shoes. They look good, and seem well made. They aren't particularly comfortable right out of the box, the uppers are quite stiff. Maybe this is the nature of hemp. Hopefully they will break in. Second, the sole material can be incredibly slick on certain wet surfaces. Like walking on ice slick. I've stopped wearing these on rainy days.

Great shoe. I was happy ordering 1/2 size smaller than normal and these shoes do run a little big. They take a while to break in but the construction is solid and they feel like they will last a long time.

I was attracted to this pair of shoes because of the darker sole. Other shoes like this have a bright white sole, which I was not looking for. The hemp upper is stiff, and takes several weeks to break in. It is longer and narrower than I was accustomed to. Even after putting in cooshy Superfeet to add arch support, these shoes offered no cushioning whatsoever. If your knees can tolerate walking barefoot, and you are happy with collapsed arches - go for it. If you need orthotics and you are a Clydesdale, like me, beware. Style and design are the highlights here - these are a very mature-looking shoe between your runners and your casuals. I really wanted to like these shoes, but they just did not suit me.

I've been looking for a comfortable pair of sneakers that I could walk around in all day and not kill my feet. I've worn Van's most of my life and decided to try these out. They were a little more money than a good pair of Van's, but they are now my favorite pair of shoes. I highly recommend them and will be buying more in the future.

Just to let you know how pleased I am with these great shoes all I have to say is I have three pairs. One in black, one in gray and now the hemp color. They are super comfortable and the build quality is typical Pantagonia, excellent. Because Pantagonia sometimes retires even excellent products I am thinking about buying another pair to have in reserve for the day a wear out one of the three that I have.

These are nice shoes, just keep in mind that those other reviewers were not kidding when they said that they are larger then the marked size. I usually wear either a 10½ or an 11, so I figured a 10½ would be perfect. Wrong! The 10½ was so big enough that I felt like I was tripping over the toe portion of the shoes. I returned them and just received them in a size 10; they fit quite well.

Love the shoe but they run about a full size too big, so order a size down from what you'd normally wear and you should be good.

Great shoes. Very comfortable the very first time a put them on. I normally wear a "wide" but these fit just fine. I bought these shoes in a different color a couple of months ago.

Like others recommended, I purchased these a full size smaller than normal. They fit very well. It will take a couple weeks to break them in and they may feel tight at first. After a little use they are very comfortable.

These hemp shoes are very stiff out of the box. But when they break in it's a nice comfortable shoe. My left shoe immediately started ripping along the top 1/2 inch in front of the seam that hold the saddle and laces to the shoe. I have to give a lo rating because of this.

I bought these for my son, who has worn only skateboard shoes for the last 10 years. He loves them! A big hit in design and comfort. Mom is very happy. Thanks Zappos.

These are very Stylish. They run large and it takes a while to break them in. Mine started ripping on the outside edge where the toe bends after two weeks of wear. I guess it was the hemp material.
