I have never had an athletic shoe before that didn't require a break-in period, but this seems to be it! So comfortable!

These are so cute and great for running. They are not so great for walking because the part at the Achilles tendon comes up so high. I am 5'4" so maybe they would work for someone taller. I got blisters and had to break them in because of this, but now I can wear them for running and walking. If you do not do well with shoes that come up high on the back, then I would not recommend them. I do get comments on how cute they are all the time on the trail and they are cushy under my toes.

I have had spinal fusion surgery and I need to walk but need a grip to insure I do not fall. These are great. I love the way they feel. They are light on my feet and the laces can adjust to my width which is narrow and the toe bends wonderfully. I put them on and felt like they were made for my feet and they really grip the road.

I'm one the hunt for the perfect hiking/walking shoe. I have had the Patagonio Bly and love them so much, but unfortunately they don't make them anymore. The Patagonia Bly Hemp is not nearly the same as far as comfort. I ordered 6 pair of shoes from Zappos (love love love Zappos) trying to replicate those Patagonio Blys, but to no avail. These will go back, although they are a wonderful shoe, they just don't have the slip the foot in AWWW factor of the Pat Bly. The hunt is still on!
