Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

I am a super-picky seamstress!! Anytime I order ANYTHING, I take it to the sewing machine and alter it, fix it, etc.!! Never quite satisfied. BUT! Enter the Serenity skirt! The fabric is heavy and stable, the fit and structure are excellent, and the side slits don't go up to the thigh!! All I have to do is put it on and wear it. (I am just assuming it will wash well-why wouldn't it)?!? Thanks!

I love this skirt so much I ordered the black and the linen colors. It is super flattering even for ladies with some shape to them. It is machine wash/dry safe and so far the black has stayed nice and true to color. It dries very nicely and doesn't wrinkle or stretch. I would highly recommend this skirt to anyone. It is a long skirt, but with the ample material at the waist, you can fold over as much as needed to achieve the desired length. The side slits are very stylish without being too slitty. Pair it with some funky tights in winter or without in the summer months. You simply cannot go wrong with this skirt.

Okay, I don't love this skirt. But I like it, and it will enjoy a functional role in my wardrobe (alternative to jeans, mostly). I am normally a size 6 (5'7", 140+/-), but I've gained a few pounds this winter. So I ordered both the small and the medium to try. The small is too small at my current weight (and maybe normally). The medium looks pretty good, but there's a bit of extra material in the front (up top). It's okay though; a bit of fiddling with the waist fixes it. This will look good with t-shirts and sweaters.
