Thongs are exactly how they look in the pictures. The mesh-like top is extremely comfortable and the thong is not too tight on the top of your foot. Definitely recommend.

I liked these shoes from the box -- the sole is flexible and the tongue is attached to one side and doesn't get folder up as you put the shoe on. But my son was able to kick off both shoes during the course of a mile-long walk without our noticing, and now they're gone. He has normal chubby toddler feet but nothing unusual, I think these don't hold securely enough across the top of the foot. Too bad.
