Not your ordinary work shoe... The Pau is a great shoe for work or leisure; they are also environmentally friendly. The leather is snug at first, but breaks in for a custom fit. Gum sole is comfortable, but can be slick on smooth wet surfaces. The toe box accommodates those of us with wide feet very comfortably. I like the wool insole and lining, very comfortable with or without socks, wool wicks moisture nicely so that the Pau is appropriate for warm or cool weather. Stitching is tight and construction is sturdy. Cannot speak for longevity, but I am impressed with this shoe overall.

This is an exceptionally comfortable shoe with or without socks. It is green constructed and quite zen, so I would question the durability if that is a criterion; however, I have not extensively field tested and I bought for comfort and sauntering, not marathon treks. The footbed is wide and the wool lining affords a lot of comfort with a relaxed, casual style that is unusual and the antithesis to the leather soled, "dress" shoe dinosaur that some unfortunates are still forced to wear. Patagonia also donates a percentage of their sales to grass roots environmental groups. This can benefit the cause without the sales tax and freight. My list price was lower, but now I notice it is the same as the manufacturer, so some of the Zappos incentive is removed.

These are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned. I usually wear sandals all day long, but now I have shoes that are just as comfortable. I have a really wide foot with a very high arch and they are perfect. So good in fact that I am going to buy another pair.

Gave these as a gift for my husband. He loves them and says they are extremely comfortable. Thought about buying another pair in case they are ever discontinued. They fit true to size. He Also thought the wool lining to be breathable and good for preventing sweaty feet. Only drawback: I felt they got an unattractive crease on the upper toe area after being worn just a time or two. I was a little disappointed in how the leather creased so soon- did not expect that for the price of this shoe.

I love this shoe - it's my first go-around with the Pau, but I've had the Maui a few times and the Honeydew as well. It's very comfortable (better cushioning than the honeydew) and looks great with jeans. I only buy Patagonia and New Balance shoes now... You won't be disappointed!

About Patagonia
Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

A perfect fit and total comfort - just like an earlier pair of Patagonia\'s I bought. They are lightweight and look fine with long pants. I\'m sold on the comfort of shoes from Patagonia and Zappos got them to me in two days.

I've had these shoes since May and have already worn through the rubber on the bottom. I've never had a pair of shoes only last 5 months. Not only that, the inserts smelled so bad after a couple of uses. The smell got so bad that I had to put the inserts of a two year old pair of shoes instead of the new inserts that these shoes came with. I was hoping that spending this kind of money on shoes would give me a shoe that could last a couple of years.

Very comfortable throw about kinda slip-on shoes. What I liked about them is they have a really no-frills look. They are comfortable and great for travel. I often wear them without socks and they wick very well. Had them for over a year now and their aging is also very nice.

This is the second pair of these shoes that I have owned, and I would still be wearing the first if I hadn\'t worn multiple holes through the soles. I love these shoes because the seem to run a bit wide and they\'re incredibly comfortable. Note that I may be a bad judge of arch support, though, as I prefer flat shoes.

Most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever worn. Great for business casual days at the office. These shoes are high quality as you would expect from Patagonia and are extremely comfortable right out of the box. They run true to size.

This is a great comfort loafer, while they last. Point being that the sole just is not meant for long term wear. The wool insoles are a nice touch for the occasional bear foot wearing, keeps the moisture down. Also I have found with various Patagonia shoes where most of the support is built into the insole that the arch sometimes is off from where the arch of my foot is, where with the Pau the arch sits in comfortable alignment with my foot.

The shoe and the Zappos service is very good experience. It was my first time that I bought a shoe online and won't be last.

Favorite pair of shoes. They are the only shoes that I have ever had that fit like a glove the first time you put them on. I like these shoes so much, this is my 4th pair of the same shoes. I wear them all the time. They last me about a year and a half or so before they start to become worn and transition to my rough shoes. Zappos has been good about shipping quickly. My only complaint is the inconsistent pricing. As this was not my first pair, I have priced these several times. Although I did find these shoes cheaper at other online retailers, I ordered them at Zappos higher price due to previous customer service experience and expedited shipping.

Bought these for my boyfriend who only ever wears sneakers and he loves them! He says they are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes he has ever owned. Also, he has a size 14 foot, and he says these have a blunt enough tip that they don't make him feel like he has clown fee.

Interesting shoe. I would submit a little too casual for your typical work atmosphere; however, they are comfortable and 'bouncy'. Lots of room in the toe box and they look a little wide however for a casual shoe that's not too dressy they do the job. I find the soles a little weird in that they make the shoes look raised up off the ground a little (ie. the edge of the shoe does not sit flush with the ground as a typical shoe does). I'm warming up to these the more I wear them...mostly because of their comfort I suppose.

Purchased these for my husband and he really likes them - says they are quite comfortable. I looked at many styles of shoes on Zappos.com, and ended up choosing these over a driver style for everyday wear. I figured the sole of this shoe would hold up better than the driver sole, especially if it rains!
