Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

A very comfortable light weight layer. I love the silky silky texture against the skin. nice set of inner pockets for storing goods. wish they made a petite size as the length of the coat is a bit long for us vertically challenged ladies. outside of that. I'm digging everything about this coat. I would suggest this as a layer rather than the only winter cover up for those living in a truly chilly place.

I have really mixed feelings about the quality of this jacket. I've received numerous compliments on it, because it's got a nice sheen to it, is lightweight, and looks a little more stylish than your average waterproof jacket. However, I'm on my 3rd week of occasionally wearing it and the quilted stitching is already coming undone from the right sleeve cuff, the zipper keeps getting caught about halfway up the jacket when I zip it all the way, and it's just starting to look really wrinkly and chintzy. Also, the thread they used to sew the quilted stitching on the outside of the jacket is like this cheap thin black sewing thread which starts to look snagged/fuzzy really quickly. For the price? I expect much better craftsmanship/engineering of a product at that price point. I'd say take the money elsewhere to another brand such as North Face which is also carried here at Zappos.com.

Truly wonderful. Beautiful color. Warm, yet light enough in volume to wear under a quilted jacket. Love it.

The jacket is not very pretty, dark color, like the indelibly dirty thing in the picture lighter jacket, zipper is very rough, cheap. Color zipper does not fit into a jacket, a jacket at the seams protruding threads. The price is very high for such a primitive jacket. I gave it to the waitress in the cafe. Do not buy, you will be disappointed.
I'd also recommend: No, thanks
