Finally, a lightweight jacket with some stretch! This jacket is made to be worn during activity so is very breathable. It's not meant to take the place of a down or synthetic down piece, but if you put a shell over it, it really cranks up the heat. Also does a great job of shedding light rain. I didn't want to layer and I liked the slim fit so I got a small, and was delighted to find that it stretched enough to go over a lightweight sweatshirt as well. I live in Seattle and this is my go-to jacket for all but the coldest or warmest days. For reference, I am 5"7", 145 lbs, 34C. I normally get a Medium in tops but liked the slim fit look of the small.

I find myself grabbing and wearing this jacket constantly. It pulls on very easily over other layers, and is comfortable but not at all bulky. I am a medium in all Patagonia jackets and this one is the same. It has plenty of room in the shoulders and chest. I got the violet color and it's gorgeous in person. Looks great for every day around-town with black yoga pants or jeans. It packs very flat; I've taken it on a couple of trips and it barely takes up any room in a suitcase.

Wow! Did I get the same jacket as the other two reviewers? Wear it and love it, both things incredibly easy to do with this go getter! Soft, warm, stretchy, light, stylish. Smartly designed and way warmer that it should be for how light it is! It moves with you and does not hold you back. It is so soft and quiet compared to most softshells and puffs. It is stylish enough to wear to the cantina after a hard day's play outside. The fit is spot on, I am 5'3" and 120 pounds. I solidly wear a small in the regular nano puff series and this nano-air series is no different. It does feel more roomy due to the stretchability, so that is a nice improvement for wearing the size small enough to keep the heat in or layer on top (like shells or vests) but yet allow layers of various sizes and lofts underneath (like fleece or wool). This has quickly became my favorite Patagonia piece, hands down. How did they make it as comfortable as your favorite pajamas yet as warm as your loftiest sleeping bag yet as breathable as your next to skin undergarments? And here I was just blown away by the sheer lightness of the jacket when I first picked it up (and yes, the high price tag!) but now that I have had it for a bit, totally amazing and life changing! Get one!

Wow, what a colossal dud! First of all, I absolutely love Patagonia and own a lot of it. I am a loyal fan. So I was pretty excited about this jacket, especially because I read it had won an award as "gear item of the year" by "Outside" magazine and for the price I tag, I expected it to be epic. What an anti-climactic moment it was to take it out of the package and put it on to find that instead of the usual Patagonia-never-want-to-take-it-off softness the lining was scratchy and weird. Fine for the outside of the jacket, but not for the inside. It is the same material on both sides. And the entire jacket felt cheap, boring and not up to the usual Patagonia quality and design standards. There are not any pockets inside, either, unlike most of their other jackets. I am not sure how this is supposed to be so record-breakingly insulating, as it feels too thin and sparse for that. More like a sweatshirt than a jacket. But not even cozy to wear around the house, because of the tarp-ish lining. Style-wise it reminded me of wearing a polyester pillow, not too flattering. Since it is classified as slim I ordered a size up as suggested on Patagonia's website, for comfort, and the sleeves were too long, but the torso fit fine with a bit of room. I am 5'4", 115 pounds. If you want it to fit like the model, go for your normal size. But all in all, Patagonia needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. I do not believe it is worth the price tag, at all. I rarely have a poor experience with Patagonia, so I am hoping that this is a fluke experience and not indicative of greater quality changes in the brand. I would proceed with caution here, and wait until they redesign it. Zappos, this does not reflect on you. I love you to pieces.

Very disappointed in this jacket. Not warm at all. I was excited about getting something environmentally friendly and anti animal cruelty (has no down) and was willing to pay the higher price, but it absolutely provides no warmth or insulation even in late Fall weather in the low 50s/high 40s. I returned the jacket.
