Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

Love these shoes. I'm someone who's almost always worn running shoes for comfort, and finally decided to try to grow up --- at least, shoe-wise. The good news is that these shoes are just as comfortable as running shoes, but look a lot more respectable! Finally!

A year later, I'm extremely torn on this shoe. It is a great, comfy shoe until it isn't. The quality is great, then it isn't. I wear these shoes on a regular basis (roughly 2-3 times a week) and they are now in near ruin. The sole is worn through on the left shoe in two places and it is nearly worn through in another on the right. The leather has held up well and is really comfortable, but the stitching between the sole and leather are quickly breaking. For the cost of the shoe, I'm not impressed with the quality. The shoes are basically unwearable now, which is a shame because they were so great through then. My Adidas Sambas, which get worn more and I bought at nearly the same day, are still in great shape and cost half what these did. I'm torn at what I replace them with and would love to order another pair, but I'm not sure its worth the cost.

One of my favorite shoes ever. Too bad that it has a major (and avoidable) design flaw: the sole is so thin and soft that it wears down after only a few months of normal use. Mine tore through at the heel after only six months and I've found countless other reviews on line with similar stories. Patagonia markets these as re-soleable shoes, but I'm guessing that's only to make up for the fact that they don't last. Too bad, otherwise a very comfortable and great looking shoe.

One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. You can feel the ground when you walk with these. I have owned for two years, don't really wear them with shorts but I wear them every day when I have jeans or khakis on. They have held up great and have gotten even more comfortable. I am going to have to find out if Patagonia can resole them at when the soles finally wear out (not really close now) because I will be bummed if I have to give these up. Worth every penny.
