This type of bag was recommended to me to use as a diaper bag for baby #2 by my sister. She uses the messenger bag style and that look is not for me. I was attracted to this bag because of the tote straps and backpack straps. I have it packed and ready to use. The only suggestion I could make for the bag is that the it would be nice if the tote straps would roll and tuck to put away and not be out while using the bag as a backpack. Overall, I am very pleased with my selection.

Purchased this bag for a trip overseas with kids. I used it as a carry on, beach bag and market tote. It was perfect! The inside pocket was large enough to hold cell phone, wallet, keys and passports. The outside pocket great for accessing little things. Books and coloring books slid in easily to back pocket (the one that sits on your back). Main compartment is pretty roomy - for sweaters or a towel - but the bag doesn't look or feel too large. The mesh pockets were great for water bottles, hand sanitizer, handy wipes, etc. Really this is a great bag - light, colorful, easy to carry on shoulder for quick movement, and comfortable on my back. Love it!

I love this bag. I use it as a diaper bag. I was looking for something big enough to hold all the essentials and then some. And complete zippers were a must - things are always falling out of my diaper bags so Iwas so happy that this closes all the way. The water bottle pockets on the side could hold two bottles each - they're that roomy. There's also backpack straps which are really handy when you need to be hands free. The top straps go in the back slip pocket, and the bottom straps tuck into the little tunnel opening on the bottom of the bag. The outside zip pocket holds my wallet, phone and sunglasses (with case!) and because the pocket never touches the ground (like other bag pockets), it'll stay protected. I was able to fit two fleece jackets for the kids, a huge baby fleece blanket, toys, 8 diapers, half box of wipes, changes of clothes for each kid, a coloring book, a pencil case, boots, a nursing cover and an extra blanket, with still some room to spare. This bag will hold everything you could possibly need. I love that after my kids outgrow diapers, I can use this for traveling, groceries, library books, beach bag, etc. The best bag ever.

To the woman who suggested this as a diaper bag: thank you. This bag is terrific. So lightweight. Seriously weighs nothing. It doesn't have structure but I keep it full so this isn't a problem. It's very spacious! The two pockets on the outside fit a water bottle and sippy cup perfectly. The material is going to be so easy to keep clean and it's very nicely made. The strap length is very comfortable and the backpack straps are what sold me. I need a bag I could carry both ways. The black is nice too because it's sporty and casual but it's still very nice and fancy looking too. Way to go Patagonia. I would recommend this to anyone and I love it as a diaper bag too.

This is a nice, lightweight bag I can toss inside another bigger bag and pull out when needed. It will be great for trips.

This bag has worked out great. I have used it everyday since I got it. I take it to work and then used it as a diaper bag on weekends. It really fits a lot!

This bag is so strong and weighs next to nothing. There is nothing worse than having a heavy bag and then fill it and it weighs a ton. I will be getting another one of these. It's super sturdy and has padded backpack straps or you can use it like a tote. It folds easily up into its inside pocket without a hassle. I bought this for Spring Training baseball games. We fit sweatshirts and baseball gloves in it. Balls to be signed and more!!

This is a very lightweight, well-made bag. It worked well on a recent trip, as a carry on and a beach bag. I wish the handles were longer because when it's full it's a little hard to carry on one shoulder. The backpack straps came in handy. I also wish it were larger but it worked well for carrying essentials to the beach. I liked the roomy main compartment and outer zippered compartment.

Great bag for being on-the-go with my preschooler and toddler. Holds a lot without weighing a ton. Love the two stretchy outside pockets that can hold different sizes of water bottles. Tote straps fit comfortably over my shoulder and the backpack straps are great when I need to have my arms free for picking up squirming kids. Wish I had this long ago.
