This jacket rocks! It's very warm and so comfortable. My 6 yr old son loves it and uses it for skiing and everything else. I will soon be buying another for my other son, age 4. It's a bit pricy but worth every penny. It's not waterproof but great for a dry cold day or with a waterproof shell over it. If you have to wash it or any other down product, make sure to use tennis balls in the dryer and it comes out fluffy and like new!

I'm 5' 1" and end up buying Patagonia Kids' sizes because often the adult sizes are too long. I love this coat. This is my second one (first was a hand-me-down), and I only had to buy a second because I am hoping I can wear the bigger size throughout my pregnancy. It's a tad bulky, but aren't all down coats? It's super warm and light. It's the perfect length, and I've had no trouble with stains or ripping the fabric on this coat. I tend to dislike how shaped a lot of the Patagonia women's wear is, so the boys' options are often great fits for me. If you have the same problem, give them a shot! I will definitely be getting one of these for my toddler daughter to wear in our cold upper Michigan winters!

I love this coat! I bought it for my seven year old. She chose black. It was a little big on her, as she is small so we tightened the waist cords and it is perfect; really darling!
