Great for Layering! This is a great, smooth, soft, stretchy material. Last year we got the Patagonia infant bodysuit and long underwear pants, but this year we wanted the two piece set since my child is older. The shirt was long enough that we could tuck it into the pants of my almost 2 year old. This is great, considering my son has a long torso. We found the baby bodysuit and pants ran a size large, but this set seemed to run average for sizing. Last year we used the infant set as the layer closest to my son's skin, and it helped keep him warm as we went out in the snow for extended periods of time, and it held up well in the wash, too. We bought this at Zappos because our local outdoor sporting store did not carry it in 2T, and Zappos has a great return policy in case we needed a different size. It came speedy as always!
