Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

Awesome shoe. Really comfortable with an understated style. Comfortable out of the box and even more comfortable after a day of wearing them. Highly recommend if you're looking for a shoe to kick around in.
I'd also recommend: Sanuk

Solid! Love the orange highlights, but not great for the office. I've owned some similar Patagonia's I'd wear to work, not these. They're perfect everyday shoes for people who want an outdoor sneaker with a skate shoe look and light hiker feel. I had to order a full size larger then my normal 8.5, I'm perfect with a 9.5 with these shoes. Patagonia does not specialize in shoes, but these are manufactured by Wolverine, and branded Patagonia. Wolverine makes Merrell and tons of other brands. The quality is very good, not top of the line.
I'd also recommend: Merrell, New Balance, Teva

Best all around shoe I know of - how have I never heard of this before? I am the last person to consider writing a review for shoes, but I cant get over these things. Best buy I've made in a long time. I would say I'd buy another pair in the future but these may last forever. They are exactly what I was looking for (and I'm not an easy customer with shoes). They are a perfect balance between basic skate shoes and hiking boots. These shoes are comfortable to walk in all day (I walked about 15 miles in them yesterday) and they are built tough as hell. They are acceptable looking for most work environments too. Unbelievable shoe. Don't think twice about the price. The shoes are simple but they are built with higher quality materials and a higher level of fabrication than anything you're probably comparing them to. Hiking boot construction/quality. I'm a simple guy with simple needs but these shoes stand up to intense punishment and then clean up for around the city walking. What more do you want? The ONLY thing to consider is that the soles are med by Vibram so that means they are about as durable as it comes. However, the shoes feel at first slightly more 'clunky' than standard skate shoes or running shoes. This is easy to get used to. I wouldn't say I drank the Kool-aid completely, but why do so many clothing / shoe companies put on a BS facade of performance? These walk the walk.

These are the best Patagonia shoes yet. Style and fit are my priorities. After receiving my first pair,I ordered a second pair. I'll wear them year round and I walk my Beagle every day for 2 hours about 3 miles. Love the Patagonia Javelina A/C's!

I tried at least a half dozen shoes of a half dozen different brands before settling on these shoes. They're very comfortable right out of the box, offer great heel stability and arch support, and look good. While Patagonia may not have established a name for itself in the shoe field, this shoe is da bomb.
