Bought for international travel, thus the black color. I have several Boaris shoes as well. Fit is virtually identical. Materials including soles and liner wear well. Laciing system provides excellent support of instep with no slippage in the heel. Nice toe box with lots of room. Best laces I have ever had in a shoe. The style is different from the Boaris and makes one's foot look clunkier in my opinion. I wish Patagonia had the same color shoe in the Boaris line. BTW, I wear these shoes with a thin Smartwool PhD sock.

Great shoes. Great looking, feel great and they go with a lot of different outfits. Just what I was looking for in the sense that they're not too sporty-looking. My only complaint is the price, but oh well, hopefully they'll last a long time.

As far as the style and the size of the shoe is concerned, I have no complaints -- but my feet are a bit on the wide size. I was looking for a good most-season, all-purpose shoe and this seemed to fill the requirements. However, and my own opinion, the insole feels a little awkward to walk on. There seemed to be some sort of raised support opposite the arch support in both shoes. I'm not sure why it's there; it definitely didn't feel good to me. Another minor complaint, the material above the toe box seemed unusually stiff and rough to the touch from the inside, but I was hoping this would disappear with some wear. Unfortunately, my search for a good shoe continues.

They look great, are very sturdy, and have excellent traction with solid soles. The downside is that, although they're burly, they aren't that comfortable. I actually think I'm going to have to switch out the insoles. I am on my feet all day at work with these, and they make them pretty tired, especially compared to my old Garmont Montellos.

Best shoes I have ever owned. Comfortable, durable, versatile. Expensive, but worth it in the end. Great for indoor and outdoor walking alike. I will definitely purchase again. 4 stars for style only because they aren't the best looking shoes.

About Patagonia
Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

I am a big supporter of Patagonia and their products/cause. These were a little tough to break in and are a bit clunky at first. The style is Nice and you just know they will last for a long time. Vibram sole is always a welcomed feature.
Brands I'd also recommend: Asic, Simple, Red Wing's

These are great quality shoe that come in great colors. They are very well made and durable. They are very supportive. The only negative is that the heel is lacking in cushioning, it gets a little hard by the end of the day.

For an expensive skate sneaker, this might be one of the most uncomfortable shoes on the market. The foot bed was not uniform and the left and right shoe felt completely different, like a different shoe. This is the second pair I have tried, with same results.
