I am a big fan of Patagonia products and feel that they are well worth the money. Overall, this is a nice pack. It is so long that items tend to get lost at the bottom. Also, it feels heavier on its own than other bags of similar style and size. I use mine everyday for commuting. Next time, I think I will buy a smaller/lighter pack. However, a nice product that does what it is supposed to do.

I love this bag. It's sharp looking and durable. There are many pockets to organize your stuff. Plus it's waterproof, which is a definite plus for someone who is out in inclement weather waiting for the bus. It's the third bag I've ordered, and this one is a keeper.

About Patagonia
Patagonia's values reflect those of a business that started as a band of climbers and surfers who wanted to stay out as long as they can, doing what they love, no matter the weather. Patagonia's design approach to every product, from technical shells for snow and ice, to moisture-wicking underclothes, to everyday clothes, demonstrates a functional bias toward simplicity and utility. Quality is impeccable, and the guarantee lifelong.
Patagonia's love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. They use organic cotton; most polyester is recycled. They give moral support - and 1% of sales, $25 million to date - to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

I was looking for backpack that would replace my briefcase when traveling when I wanted to pack a little more that notebooks and papers. This pack is large enough to stash all things for the office and cables, and my major reason was to be able to transport my 32 oz. Nalgene comfortably on the plane. One downfall is that the pack is large. I have lost items in there as the main compartment is very deep. I also checked out the North Face Overhaul 30, which is a slimmer and has a bit more features to facilitate using the pack as a travel/laptop bag, but couldn't find a version as this price. All in all, happy with the pack for business travel when needed to haul a bit more than in my briefcase, but can be a bit cavernous for small items in the main compartments.

I purchased this bag for both day-hiking trips and to carry around my daily work supplies (computer, papers, books, etc.). The bag holds my 15" MacBook Pro perfectly. There is a snug, secure sleeve for the computer - and the cushioning on the sides and bottom keep my laptop safe, even when I forget my computer is in the bag and plunk it down hard on the floor. There is lots of space for books and papers in addition to the computer. The materials are sturdy and strong - the zippers and clips feel like they will last a long time. The small pockets are great for keys, cell phone, and sunglasses - all easy access. The side water bottle pockets are nice and deep. Very comfortable to wear - I haven't gone day hiking with the pack yet, but I anticipate it will preform well.

I am a grad student who spends up to 18 hours a day on campus - hence I needed a backpack to be able to pack a good part of my life in every day. This turned out to be the perfect one! It fits everything so handily - laptop, mouse, notebooks, pencils, water bottle, coffee mug, wallet, electronics, keys, lunch, sunglasses, you name it. It is comfortable and well-padded, literally lightening your load. Highly recommended for someone who needs a high-capacity, functional backpack.

Being a full time student who spends all day on campus, this backpack is everything I need! This bag has room for my 15 inch MacBook Pro, binders, textbooks, and science lab manuals. On top of holding all of my necessary items, this bag is very fashionable! I have the ultramarine colored bag, and I love the funky, bright colors. :) This bag makes it easy to be organized and prepared for my classes. I used to use a Dakine brand bag and even though I adore that bag, it just didn't fit all of my books that I needed to carry around this term. Also, you got to love the customer service offered by Zappos! I wish more companies would follow Zappos' lead (Sephora)!

This backpack is fantastic! I bought it to use as my carry-on, hoping my 18.4" laptop would fit in it. The laptop fit perfectly, just not inside the laptop pocket (which wasn't an issue for me). I also had a book, a video camera, and some other stuff (clothes, at one point) in there, and the backpack never looked bulky. This pack is very streamlined, roomy, and stylish, and the multiple pockets really help keep your stuff organized. I don't think you can go wrong with this backpack.

I like the small pocket on the top of the pack because as a college student I normally just carry my backpack around, not a purse, so the small pocket is perfect for carrying my cellphone and keys. Also, the outside pocket is perfect for a pair of flip flops or an extra drink if I want to carry more than two sodas. The secondary organizational pocket is more deep than I expected, but most of the small pockets that hold pencils and the like are near the top of the bag, so it's easy to reach things I put in this pocket. My 15" laptop also fits nicely in the padded laptop pocket in the main pocket. I'm giving the backpack four stars because I feel that is is just a tad too skinny for all of the textbooks I need to carry around. It will still fit maybe two textbooks, a laptop, 2 binders, and a notebook, but I normally carry around a ton of notebooks for school and the space just feels tight. The backpack also does not stand up by itself when there are books in it, which I find annoying. Also, if I have a lot of weight in the pack the shoulder straps become uncomfortable on my back.

This is a great bag. It holds a lot, is very functional, has all the bells and whistles and is very adjustable. Laptop protection, soft pocket for sunglasses or iPod, pullt hrough for camel pack, 2 water bottle holders, lots of organizers in smaller pocket, open exterior pocket is very nice for receipts/paperwork while traveling, zippers are tough and durable, and bag feels very sturdy.

First I must say that Amazon shipping is awesome! Ordered this on a thursday and monday the pack arrives! And I live in Puerto Rico, so it's even more awesome. I ordered this in mango and the orange is a little darker than in the photos making the yellow stand out more (a little too bright for my taste). I expected the zippers to be more heavy duty, but aside from those nitpicks, this is a great pack. Big, organized, lots of zipper, stylish. Shoulder straps are well padded, it even includes a waist strap! And the front pocket has this waterproof lining (gray area in the mango pack). Overall, I highly recommend this pack! I will be using this for college and it has room for my books, manuals notebooks, a 15 inch laptop and for st of gym clothes.

I bought this backpack for my Junior year of High School and I must say that I am amazed how much it holds! 4- 20+ pound textbooks, 4 2 inch binders, and all my supplies (TI-84 Plus, pens, pencils, highlighters, and much more). The straps are comfortable and the multiple pockets have enough storage for my cell phone, car keys, and water bottle. Best pack I've ever purchased!

Lots of pockets, good space division. One of the things I like best is the small pocket at the very top where I can put my keys and little things, and they're easy to get to. Wanted a bright color and don't love the blue, but it's ok.

I love this backpack. I can fit a couple books, my lab coat/goggles, my laptop, my lunch, and my notebooks no problem. It sticks out a little bit on my back but the compression straps really help. I'd recommend this no problem!

I was looking for a good all around pack. I really needed one for 3 airline flights with my 2 kids while my wife was on a girls trip. This would be the first trip on a plane for my 2.5 year old, but my 6 year was fairly well traveled. Anyway, I needed space for an iPad,iPod, 2 water thermoses, many snacks, sunglasses, diapers, wipes, car keys, charging cords for the Apple devices, camera, full size headphones for the kids, coloring book, crayons, hot wheels, travel documents, and a couple of jackets. The Fuego held it all with ease! Still had room left over for more odds and ends. The trip went great, and the Fuego made it easy, and it was great to be organized. Now I use it for bike rides, trips to the beach and park and have even used it for an overnight bag for work. Durable, nice construction and very light weight.
